adki: May 2012
http://adrkie.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 06, 2012. You forget that Autumn actually exists in Melbourne. Leaves are falling. It's getting colder. Soup is on the cards. Nights are drawing in. Chestnuts are in season. All the cliches. Time to dig up the tomatoes, eggplants and zucchini and stop pretending to be Mediterranean. Although, having said that, the lemons are coming. Yay for citrus. http://adrkie.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 07, 2011. Every now and then I think I should be blogging more. Things happen, it may seem mundane, but you know some of those things are what you'll look back on in years to come and think, ah, remember when. Hmm, problem is though, when I sit down to blog my mind, quite often, draws a blank. So, excuse me while I brainstorm. What's been happening lately? So, you know how every Jan I compile my '50 things to do this year' list? The lemon tree has been fecund this year.

Sunday, January 29, 2012. First entry for the year- and it's practically February already! Where is the time going? So, with my 50 things to do this year, one of them is to blog at least 12 times*, so once a month.at least. Then I can keep things ticking over. Starting the year with K's parents and brother visiting and a mammoth trip around all our fave places in Victoria. Accommodation wise it was like a trip in a time machine. Acc= 1950s/60s beach house). Which I am, on Wednesday. I've almost gotte...

Sunday, May 12, 2013. So here we are at the start of 2013 and now for my annual blog post. Oh, no hang on. It's practically June. The last time I posted was almost exactly a year ago. Lucky no one is waiting with bated breath. Part of my excuse is that I'm back at uni (remember that old chestnut). So I'm one H2a into the masters and so far so good. However, the most significant thing I've learnt thus far is that. See you next year. Don't hold your breath. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Awesome Inc. temp...
adki: The Sturdy Tomato Plants
http://adrkie.blogspot.com/2012/06/sturdy-tomato-plants.html
Saturday, June 23, 2012. The Sturdy Tomato Plants. Me da says that when women reach middle age they either turn to God or the Garden. Well, I don't know about the middle age thing but now that we're mortgage owners I do love to garden. I had never been interested in this much before. In fact, many friends would cite the 'watering the plastic plant episode' as hard evidence of my lack. And tomatoes- that have self seeded. They must be pretty sturdy things because we've had miserable weather lately- in...
adki: April 2012
http://adrkie.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 09, 2012. Just back from a fab Easter break up in Beechworth. This has to be one of my favourite places in Victoria to visit- great restaurants, wineries, honey sandstone historic buildings and lovely scenery. Apart from the Mornington Peninsula, it's the place we've visited most often since returning from London. But just when you think you know all there is to know about a place (bakeries, wine clubs we're members of etc.) you go with a new group of people and find some new gems.

Sunday, June 07, 2015. The annual post 2014. Just found this draft of a post from last year. Not any writing or anything, just these photos of my art work for my sister's 40th birthday celebrations. Obviously I was too busy for even writing in 2013. Wow, this is a record time away, even for me. Two years? So, technical issues. Well it's winter again, and reports due and coming up to school production time = being super busy and so naturally blogging* seems like a good idea. I finally got around to settin...

Sunday, June 07, 2015. Wow, this is a record time away, even for me. Two years? This has been partially not my fault. Seems to be some changes to passwords/blogger teaming up with google and I couldn't actually log in until I found the actual website in my contacts. Then it was easy to get in. So, technical issues. Well it's winter again, and reports due and coming up to school production time = being super busy and so naturally blogging* seems like a good idea. What's been happening I hear you ask?
adki: Burn or shake the floor
http://adrkie.blogspot.com/2012/06/burn-or-shake-floor.html
Friday, June 22, 2012. Burn or shake the floor. Batten down the hatches; it's earthquakes and torrential rain galore here in Melbourne. The earthquake measure something like 5.6 on the scale; not large by global standards but big enough for us to feel something. K says the couch moved! I, however, didn't feel a thing; I was too busy watching the awesomness that is the "Burn the Floor" Troop at Crown Casino. Never noticed a thing! What else has been happening? Seattle Pacific University MAT Student. Final reflection on the history of American education. August 16, 2013. I previously mentioned in my last discussion about how education is constantly changing. Reading from the start of the early 1600’s till now the educational movement is continuously adapting to our students needs. Although, I cannot predict the future, I am worried in ways of where education is going especially with the emphasis on standardized testing. 4th ed.) . August 3, 2013. June 29, 2013.

In recent weeks I’ve been having a lot of fun creating illustrations for a series of colouring-in pages. It soon became apparent all the pictures I’d created, in some way, revolved around those simple abodes we call home. Whether it’s a cottage on a hill, a tent pitched under a starry sky, or an apartment building in a metropolis, these are places we commune with family. August 6, 2015. May 20, 2015.
