Highlights from our family. Sunday, May 09, 2010. Our social worker called on Friday to let us know that we beat the deadline and will only have to travel once to Ethiopia! This is a huge answer to prayer and a big relief! Now we wait for a court date and hopefully we will pass court on the first try. Sometimes things don't come together and families don't pass court on the first try, but we're hoping for the best! So glad that he answered this specific prayer! All in Gods plan :). Our Journey of Faith.

Highlights from our family. Tuesday, October 19, 2010. Home for 3 months! Miya has been home for a little over 3 months now. The time has gone so fast! She is such a happy girl and has adjusted so well! She amazes me all the time. The thing that amazes me the most is the way she has picked up English. Highlights from our family. Monday, May 17, 2010. We got an email from our social worker this morning stating that we have a court date for June 7! We are praying that we will pass court the first time! When we pass court, our little girl will legally be ours! Then we wait to travel for an embassy appointment which is usually 1-2 months after court. Really hoping all this happens quickly! I am sooooooooo excited for you. Highlights from our family. Monday, June 07, 2010. I got an e-mail this morning that said we had passed court today in Ethiopia. Which means she is leagally ours! We now have to wait AGAIN for more paperwork to be finished. We need to wait for her to get a new birth certificate and a passport. The e-mail I got stated we should plan on traveling 1-3 months from now, but the trend seems to be to travel 6 weeks after court. So we will see! I'm just glad this part is done, just one more step to go!

Highlights from our family. Sunday, March 29, 2009. Olivia turned 3 years old this past week and like always we celebrated with her cousin Adia! Adia is only 3 weeks older than Olivia so they always have fun having a party together. They were both singing happy birthday along with everyone! Of course they had fun opening their presents! It's almost impossible to get both of them to look at the camera at the same time, oh well). We had to get a new picture of all the cousins now that there is a new one!
