Monday, July 30, 2012. The Five Gift Rule. I've seen the four gift rule all over Pinterest. It's a great idea, but I feel like something is missing. So, I have an addition. Here is my five gift rule. Why not give this t-shirt scarf. Would make a great gift for a teenage girl. Have some old crayons hanging around? Melt them into fun new shapes. I still have some of the gifts my mom made for me and someday I'll pass them on to my children or even their children. So, all you craft-tastic folks out there...

Monday, March 4, 2013. I love to have a tea cart and when I found it in Craigslist I grab the opportunity to take it. To be honest not just one, I got two. I decided to transform this tea cart based on my design like. It's in great condition. Wheels are moving smoothly. It's slim and "leaves" can go up or down easily. It has a small drawer. If you'd like to know how I change her look, please come along with me. First, I sanded everything. Once done, I wiped and cleaned everything to remove the dust.

Here’s to 2015! As 2015 starts, I look back on 2014 and think it went so fast and so slowly at the same time. I made a lot of changes in 2014. Most for the better. Some not. But I won’t give up on change. I won’t give up on trying and improving. Resolutions are really just plans, and I break plans that I make for myself all the time, so instead of resolutions I’m creating some simple strategies instead. How are you starting 2015? Are we too wimpy to move away from the white and sparse designer look with the obligatory three accessory items ‘casually’ displayed on the mantel? Or is there so much visual noise in our lives that we need the peaceful and calming effect of blank walls when we finally crash at home or in our hotel room? And enjoy it : ).
