SaraInSanFran: Battle for the Microwave

http://sarainsanfran.blogspot.com/2008/02/battle-for-microwave.html

My Musings About Life in San Francisco. Thursday, February 28, 2008. Battle for the Microwave. In an attempt to save some cash, I have started bringing my lunch with me a few days a week. Cassidy and I eat lunch together after class every Tuesday and Thursday in Club Ed, a grab-and-go lunch station run by USF's cafeteria company. Luckily, this cafeteria spot has a microwave, as well as plenty of free silverware, condiments, etc. should I ever need them. 5 minutes left on the microwave. As my brain was ch...

SaraInSanFran: Organic Christmas in February!

http://sarainsanfran.blogspot.com/2008/02/organic-christmas-in-february.html

My Musings About Life in San Francisco. Wednesday, February 06, 2008. Organic Christmas in February! Luckily, it hadn't been stolen by my envious neighbors. Upon opening the door, I found that Faye, my wonderful roommate, had moved it inside for me earlier that day. Whew! I dragged my prize into the kitchen, and immediately tore open the lid. There were so many vegetables! I was so excited! I wondered how the hell Zeph and I would consume all of this food in 2 weeks! My review so far? Alright, alright, y...

SaraInSanFran: Quote of the Week

http://sarainsanfran.blogspot.com/2008/03/quote-of-week.html

My Musings About Life in San Francisco. Wednesday, March 05, 2008. Quote of the Week. As I was walking home last night, I overheard a snippet of conversation from another group of students:. You guys, I finally figured out what I am going to do with my life. I am going to be a mortgage broker.". I chuckled to myself because I have made many such statements over the course of my college career, and indeed throughout my life. Age 8: I wanted to be a teacher. Age 12: I wanted to be a lawyer. Just to clarify...

SaraInSanFran: Recipe: Breakfast Burrito

http://sarainsanfran.blogspot.com/2008/01/recipe-breakfast-burrito.html

My Musings About Life in San Francisco. Wednesday, January 16, 2008. Although I try and plan a week's worth of meals ahead of time, things don't always work out that way. Last week was one of those times, and I had nothing to make for dinner on Thursday. Rather than order out, I scrounged around and found the ingredients to throw together a pretty good breakfast burrito. Here's what ya do:. Fold, and eat! Posted by Sara at 10:26 AM. Congrats on the new domain name! I see Google is still doing all the hea...

Sara In Real Life. Published on Other Blogs. Musings on Life and Ministry. Be Still and Know. I got to do some writing while I was at the conference last week. I was sitting on the porch of my mountain cabin at Brasstown Valley Resort, the sun was setting, the air around me was warm but not sweltering, the crickets abuzz and the birds singing their evening song. For a minute, I… Read More Be Still and Know. August 10, 2015. Originally posted on SaraInRealLife. August 4, 2015. August 3, 2015. Today is app...

Monday, September 1, 2008. Street Kids in Kigali. This face says it all, one of the many reasons I fell in love with these kids. A look at the shoes as they are waiting for their turn. You can see how the one on the right has worn out his shoes completely. Waiting to receive their shoes. These kids are watching their friends try on and receive shoes. They form their own family on the streets and will watch out for each other. Thursday, August 21, 2008. Now that I am home, I am excited to see how God will...

Sara In Salem

Mother. Student, a future Social Worker. Explorer. Dreamer. Just me. Sunday, December 7, 2008. When something had happened, I'd think I gotta write about it. Good things or bad things, I'd just want to remember. I find myself going back to my dream journal, rereading them and remembering. As long as I could remember, I'd write. Why I'd stop writing? I'd say I'm too busy being a mommy, that it changed my life. I stopped thinking "can't" for couple of weeks, boy good things does happen! That's right, I STI...

Sara in Scotland | A Semester in St. Andrews

A Semester in St. Andrews. December 15, 2012. It has been way too long since I updated this, but it has been a long few weeks of paper writing and finals. This will probably be one of my last entries from the UK, but I am debating whether or not to continue these, even if it isn’t on this particular site. I am surprised how much I have enjoyed writing these. So, now for updates. Since I last wrote, I took a day trip to the Highlands with Rachel and Frida. It was awesome! Coming to an End. Friday, July 21, 2006. Since coming back I've realized what a sweet opportunity it was. I mean, heck I got to hang out with BABOONS for a day, and in their natural habitat! Who can say that? I really enjoyed hanging out with Allison and talking about nerdy things a large part of the day (such as hypothesizing why the baboons were acting a certain way, what type of plants we were sitting in, the ecology of the forest, etc- things I think are amazing). Sara In Sparkle Motion | Everything's shiny Captain. Not to fret.

Sara In Sparkle Motion. Everything's shiny Captain. Not to fret. October 6, 2013. Happy October, everyone! I absolutely love fall and all things regarding this season. We have been enjoying a brisk, cold, fall weekend as a family. I am so excited to be taking Emmett to the pumpkin patch with Matt today. We have really been looking forward to Emmett’s interaction with fall activities. In honor of all the fall splendor, I made a fall playlist that aptly depicts how I feel about the beginning of October.
