Throughout the years, the lake has provided the OTM community a place for solace and recreation. Fishing, paddle-boating, kayaking, picnic are only a few of these activities. Fish, turtles, Mallard ducks, Canada geese, a redfox, many songbirds are regular visitors, including a magnificent great blue heron. That feeds on small fish. Oak Tree Meadows was developed in 1976. The developers included a lake as part of the community and stipulated in the bylaws for its maintenance and protection.
