Today we dressed up as bees and we visited the library to learn all about it. We had a wonderful time at the library. Monday, May 18, 2015. We have been learning about money. We are good at recognising and adding money. We can even manage to mark up products (by 1c or 2c) and to give change. Now we are putting our knowledge to practical use in our class shop. We buy and sell toy food with real money. We really love being shopkeepers and customers. Tuesday, 4 October 2016. We know that bread soda and vinegar can be mixed together producing a gas (Carbon Dioxide). We wondered if this gas could power a small rocket. It did, and caused the rocket to blast off. We also decided that this could be done with fizzy tablets and water or with coke and mentos sweets. We must try these sometime. Foam rockets with Ms. McLoughlin's and Mr. Faherty's classes. Cutting a rectangular card into a square, then into 2 equal triangles gives nice fins for the rocket.

We went to the field behind the community centre,. The lettuce ,radishes , potatoes and runner beans are growing well now that the weather has improved. We had 1 ripe strawberry on Friday.
