Adventures and Contemplations: February 2016
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2016_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Griffin @ 2 Months. Two months old already? But I love my little Griffin! He's a happy baby, especially in the mornings. Sometimes he decides to start the day way earlier than I would like, so I get up with him and grumble and complain until I sit down and he smiles at me without provocation. My heart melts every single time and somehow I manage to smile back. A little about Griffin. He does not like tummy time. He spits up constantly. I can't wait to hear those first giggles.

Adventures and Contemplations: June 2013
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 24, 2013. Thoughts on Marrying a Soldier. In a little over a month, I will be marrying Garrett, an incredible guy who gives me reason to keep going every day and to smile and love life. Garrett is in the Utah National Guard and is on the path of becoming an officer in the Army. I am grateful to be marrying a man who is working to preserve the liberty of this country. His willingness to serve and his enthusiasm with which he goes about his tasks inspire me. Quite frankly, I think the ...When ...

Adventures and Contemplations: Travels with Garrett to Sweet Home Alabama
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2014/11/travels-with-garrett-to-sweet-home.html
Thursday, November 6, 2014. Travels with Garrett to Sweet Home Alabama. The route we took. We knew the drive was going to be long, about 34 hours, so we were prepared with two Harry Potter audiobooks, and those were a lifesaver! I probably would have gone crazy if I hadn't been able to keep my mind occupied with something on our long drive. And since we had the time, we decided to do some sightseeing on our way. Garrett's first comment about the cake was, "Wow, that is definitely a Blackhawk." Go Hil!

Adventures and Contemplations: December 2013
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 11, 2013. Only one more week in this semester and then one more semester to go until graduation! I remember back in high school thinking that high school graduation felt forever way, and I refused to even think about college graduation because it seemed so far in the future to even try to think about. But now, I'm only a semester of student teaching away from graduation, and it is a glorious feeling. Wish me luck as I begin this adventure! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Adventures and Contemplations: Andersons and Arches
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2014/09/andersons-and-arches.html
Thursday, September 4, 2014. Last month, we went with Garrett's family down to Moab for this year's Anderson Family Reunion. Yeah I know I'm a little slow in blogging about it, but it is what it is. Garrett and I were lucky enough to drive Grandpa Dave's yellow jeep down to Moab. The ride was a little bumpy, but hey, we were just happy to be able to go down at all. It's a good thing Garrett's tough because he had to wrestle with the steering wheel a little bit. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Adventures and Contemplations: January 2016
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2016_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 9, 2016. This is several weeks overdue, but better late than never. Here's the lovely tale of Griffin's birth. On November 19th, I went in for my 38 week appointment. This was the first time Dr. Heim checked my cervix, and I was dilated to a 3 and 70% effaced and that baby's head was really low and ready to go. He told me that he wouldn't be surprised if the baby came that weekend, but that it could also be another couple of weeks. But it was still Tuesday and I had six days before the ...

Adventures and Contemplations: Celebrate Life
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2015/05/celebrate-life.html
Sunday, May 31, 2015. Ever since I can remember, my paternal grandmother has decorated her house for every holiday and season that comes. Whether it's Christmas, back to school, or Memorial Day, she always has something out to celebrate that season. I always thought it was kind of funny that she did this, maybe a little unnecessary and more time consuming than anything. However, as I've grown older and wiser (hopefully) I've learned that my grandma has some things figured out. My grandma celebrates life.

Adventures and Contemplations: October 2013
http://adventuresandcontemplations.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, October 12, 2013. Little did we know back in 4th grade when we first met that we would one day be husband and wife. We've been married for 2 months and 13 days, and we've loved every moment of it. We thought we'd share a little from our wedding day, the day we chose to start our forever. Just heading to the temple! Can you see how excited we were? Garrett: prepare yourselves for something cool. Our fairyland begins when we were in high school. A date or two; that's all we did. Well bless my soul.
