It was at Warm Springs, an LDS recreation area an hour northwest of the city. Yes, we are "camping" on a grass field with an oasis of palm trees next to us. Monday, July 22, 2013. A Couple of Weeks In. We've had this little girl at home with us for two weeks now, and boy, do we all love her! One silly thing that has happened with the birth of each of my children is that I miss being pregnant. What? I've bonded easily to this little one. Monday, April 6, 2015. A month after having my baby, a good friend emailed me an update of her four kids. She ended the email by saying "The days are long, but the years fly by! I haven't experienced the years yet, but amen to those long days. Nope Only 20 minutes have gone by. Hmm. Long days? Talk about long minutes. I always expected motherhood to be hard. I knew I would lose my body, my brain, my identity, my time, my sleep. And you know what? This is so beautiful. I love you both! You are the best!

Scott's baby brother lives in Alaska and for Christmas he and his wife sent us this amazing "Alaskan" basket of goodies that included animal cookie cutters, Alaskan blueberry syrup, salmon, salmon jerkey (which I did NOT taste) Alaskan socks, and three Alaskan chocolate bars.
