http://scottandjanemiller.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
A Journey of Faith With Limited Sight. Saturday, November 30, 2013. Yesterday we celebrated Thanksgiving. This year we have so much to be thankful for. The obvious would be that Mercy is here with us to celebrate her very first Thanksgiving with her family. This year brought so much change to our life, and hers. Mercy ran straight for ME! Links to this post. Sunday, November 3, 2013. Mercy's Child Dedication on Orphan Sunday. Today our church family recognized Orphan Sunday by having a Child Dedication S...

A Journey of Faith With Limited Sight. Monday, October 21, 2013. Two Year Old "Extreme Tantrum" Edition. Today was appointment #2 with CHOP Ophthalmology. It was a traffic fighting morning on the way, but Mercy did great in the car. It was once we got into the patient room that she decided to put her grumpy on and well see for yourself. And she's getting back up. Nope, she's down again. Refusing to sit on Daddy's lap. If I can't see you, you can't see me. Head tilts up, "Is mommy still looking at me?

A Journey of Faith With Limited Sight. Tuesday, September 17, 2013. A Day In the Life. I strapped my camera to my wrist today with the intent of capturing day in the life of Mercy. The pictures unfold the stories. Bath Time (notice her hair disappears when wet). Brushing her teeth or eating the toothpaste? Eating eggs all by myself. Speech Therapy with Miss Joan. Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See? Singing into her Leap Frog Jr. (Gail Reinford this one is for you! Play-date with my friend Jayne. So I ...

A Journey of Faith With Limited Sight. Thursday, May 30, 2013. One baby step at a time. Wanted to give you a progress report. If you have read the book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp then you will get this. If not, then you really should read the book! So here are a few milestones from the past three days. Monday afternoon Mercy walked about six steps before falling. Monday afternoon Mercy sat in the stroller for a short walk without fussing AND she kept her sunglasses on. Tuesday Mercy had her first ...

Cries in the afternoon. Tuesday, March 19, 2013. I went downstairs. Heard a piercing scream and cry upstairs. Raced upstairs. T comes to me, in tears, a piece of brown paper in his hands. Ripped. “C did this.” I hold him. We fix it with tape. “I’m so sad.” We try to teach about mistakes, forgiveness, grace. What was the brown piece of paper? His first letter from a friend. It had pictures of trucks on it. It now is protected by packing tape “lamination.”. It’s been a while. Monday, March 18, 2013. On the...

Friday, June 26, 2015. Backstory) A few days before we had checked out a Super Why dvd from the library. And he had wanted to dress up like Whyatt. And I didn't really think anything of it. This is actually pretty normal in our house.watch a show, and pretend to be that person for the next week or two. And I see James run across the room at full speed with a big smile on his face. And I'm like, Oh my gosh! Alan took a couple of kung fu classes during February vacation week. And he absolutely loved it.

Thursday, January 9, 2014. We did a lot of things as a family this year! It was great to be together and make great memories! Family Pictures (This was actually in 2012, but we never posted them). We went to Lake Powell with a bunch of cousins over the summer! Charles and I were in the Copper Thunder Marching Band, which is a district wide Marching Band, so Charles was able to do it even though he goes to a different High School than I do. A Journey of Faith With Limited Sight. Monday, May 26, 2014. Links to this post. Saturday, May 10, 2014. She calls me Mommy. Mercy calls me mommy. This is a new thing. From the day we met her until just recently I have always been Mama. While it was a word she used to recognize me as a Mama in her life there was always a lack of endearment. Why? Her heart of worship, her heart seeking her Heavenly Daddy changes me for the better. She's such a gift, our little Mercy girl, such a sweet and precious gift.

Welcome and thanks for stopping by. God has been our help and strength in adversity. And He continues to teach us. A picture book for young children. The long view of life brought us great comfort. Janet found the Bible has far more to say. About this than she ever realized. What on Earth is Heaven Like?
