Fuzzy Tris: You know....
http://fuzzytris.blogspot.com/2011/09/you-know.html
Monday, September 5, 2011. When you're race is right around the corner when you can't stop thinking about it. I'm going into this week thinking how little I have prepared for the swim and the run, especially in these last few weeks. Not cool. I'm gonna hit the pool everyday this week. And do an hour bike. And run. Yes, too much too late. But still, it's good for me. Plus I'm thinking long term. I'm going to get my zipp 404s put on tomorrow. No I didn't buy them. I rented them! Fuzzy Tris: Long overdue...
http://fuzzytris.blogspot.com/2011/11/long-overdue.html
Tuesday, November 1, 2011. So a lot has happened since my last post, which was forever ago. Sorry about that. I'll explain why I've been away. A quick rundown of what's happened since Nation's Tri:. I did Savageman 30.0 without a wetsuit. Beasted on the bike and run. I did Waterman's Sprint. I crashed. Cracked my aerohelmet, and busted my aerobars. That said, I got up and I finished the race. I didn't do the Tough Mudder (it was homecoming) nor the MCM 10K (it was halloween weekend.). Philadelphia Half M...

Fuzzy Tris: Wild Thaang is racked.
http://fuzzytris.blogspot.com/2011/09/wild-thaang-is-racked.html
Saturday, September 10, 2011. Wild Thaang is racked. And I'm ready. Well as ready as I'll ever be. Tomorrow is my first Olympic. A special Olympic triathlon because it's now a biathlon (not a duathlon); they cancelled the swim because of the disgustingness of the Potomac river. I've rowed when it's been this bad, and let me tell you it's not fun. There are some stories around the boat house of shells finding dead bodies in to Potomac. Hopefully I'll be able to work something out with my LBS. See Becca Tr...

Thought Per Mile: March 2014
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Pre-run rituals and superstitions. Like many athletes and spectators, runners have some interesting pre-run habits. Whether it's a tried-and-true nutrition system or just a little bit of superstition, if we find something that works we just want to stick with it! The morning of a long run I will eat something with carbs, like an English muffin&#...

Thought Per Mile: Oh my aching hip!
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2011/04/oh-my-aching-hip.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Friday, April 29, 2011. Oh my aching hip! It’s a Friday night and I’m sitting in the recliner, icing my hip, reflecting on a (nearly) successful week. After starting off the month with record mileage, I’ve been feeling pretty confident and looking forward to my next challenge. But this week I wanted to be back in full force and accumulating a solid 25 miles this week.

Thought Per Mile: Happy hip-anniversary to me!
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2014/10/happy-hip-anniversary-to-me.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Happy hip-anniversary to me! Okay I know it's been a hundred years since I've written anything about training or race recaps, and I swear I'll make it up to you. but today I want to focus on something really cool: Me. Three years ago today I went in for my hip surgery. The thing is, it does get better. Sometimes it takes a really long arc ...

Thought Per Mile: June 2014
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Patriot Half Race Report. I had taken Friday off work to pack and head down to my hotel. What I didn't factor on was the torrential downpours. I was getting a little panicked seeing all that rain and it was a nuisance to pack the car and drive in it, but my bigger concern was what impact it would have on race conditions. Everything turned into ...

Thought Per Mile: Clearwater Distance Classic Race Report
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2015/01/clearwater-distance-classic-race-report.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. Clearwater Distance Classic Race Report. Digging out of this monstrous blizzard seems like a good time to reflect on my time spent in Florida last weekend! Warning, this is going to be a picture-heavy post. Of pictures of warm, sunny Florida. Brace yourselves! But little did I know I'd go and sprain my ankle right before the trip! Sunday mor...

Thought Per Mile: April 2014
http://thoughtpermile.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
A collection of thoughts, mind games, and observations made while running, thinking about running, or doing any alternatives to running. Thursday, April 24, 2014. Monday morning, Ronnie and Coleen met at my house and then we headed over to Julia's. Like last year, we all wanted to meet at Julia's before heading over to EMC to catch the shuttle bus. That way we'd all be together heading to the Athlete's Village. Wearing our Wal-Mart special throw-away clothes! We got to EMC at 8:30 and easily found parkin...
