The Integrity Scale - Scribbles By Ro
http://scribblesbyro.com/integrity-scale
8230;all things considered. Sean then told me that the other kids didn’t want Roberts to go, and that the mother who had volunteered to take them on this outing suggested they tell him a little fib. After he went home they could proceed with their plans. He begged, rationalizing that if it was the mother’s idea it wasn’t so wrong and that this was his chance. If Robert didn’t find out about it, he wasn’t being hurt. How would he know? Sean, I began, You know in your heart of hearts that lying to that boy...

8230;all things considered. Lay Down Your God-Guns; America Won. I appreciate that my long-time and dear friend, Tim, shared a piece from Time Magazine today on Facebook, as I’ve struggled to understand the intense demagoguery and proclaimed victim-hood of the Christian Right for nearly a decade now, especially on the issue of gay rights and my rights as a woman. Voting Republican and other failed culture war strategies are not going to save us now. Interesting that Dresher uses this term ‘orthodoxy’ fre...

8230;all things considered. Interview of My Heart. Wow, what can I say! It’s always nice to be interviewed about something you’re passionate about, especially if you don’t mind sharing your thoughts and opinions, and they’re accepted in the spirit offered. Raymond’s interests, knowledge base and talents are as wide as the Mississippi and run just as deep. I hope you’ll check it out. We’d love to hear. Share on Facebook (Opens in new window). A Boy In Men's Boots - Scribbles By Ro
http://scribblesbyro.com/boy-mens-boots
8230;all things considered. A Boy In Men’s Boots. As told to me by my dad; John E. Roberts, USS LANG 1942-1944. DP Moon was his name, a commodore of six to eight destroyers. He was a rather large man of six foot plus; a handsome man with a soft-spoken nature, but one in which full command was clearly his. Engaged in something far beyond my comprehension, like others, I mounted my courage with that of D.P. Moon. Men the likes of D.P. Moon (who was later promoted to Admiral and died in the battle o...Click...
My Affair With The Semicolon - Scribbles By Ro

8230;all things considered. My Affair With The Semicolon. My affair with the semicolon; sanctioned at last! OK, so you’re asking yourself, “Who gets giddy about such a thing? Along with our own voice and word style, every writer has their preference of structure. Some prefer the short, more direct sentence approach, and others, like me, write in a similar fashion to how we speak; an often long river of thought that attempts to explain and clarify, or even propose, if you will. I'm a 30-something-year-old who is learning to balance life, work, studying and family. I love books, music, the colour pink and red wine. This is my journey, my life's scribbles. An unwanted trip down memory lane. This morning about a 12-year-old girl who committed suicide – all because the 'cool group' saw her as fat and ugly. This brought back a rush of memories from my own school years, memories that still sting 14 years after leaving school…. I’ve been told that my school experience sharpen an...

Thursday, March 26, 2015. Let's hear it for the MEN. So in one of my classes this week, the discussion turned to how men are not valued in today's world. In the statistics, women have higher GPAs, higher abilities in the work world even if their salaries still are lower. Women are more sensitive, better at communication, blah blah etc. Basically the idea that men are obsolete and a strong woman is better off without one. But can I just say MEN ARE AMAZING. Too. Men are amazing too. Men are dumb." No!

A multitude of random thoughts some serious ponderings a little bit of creativity = a collection of my scribbles :). Thursday, January 10, 2013. Just so you know, I'll be blogging over at my sister blog for the next few months. I had to set up a blog at Wordpress for one of my classes this semester, and instead of going back and forth between the two, I'll just be blogging over there. You can find me at www.scribblesbymegan.wordpress.com. Same name. Different site. Easy peasy, huh? Dinner with my family.

scribbles by megan | "The quietest people have the loudest minds."
The quietest people have the loudest minds. A Little Bit About Me. Posted in My Walk. I got a text from my dad today: “Please call Gayle. She keeps calling for you.”. So, I brushed aside my embarrassment and called Gayle today. As always, she greeted me with such joy. After a well-deserved reprimand for my neglect, Gayle surprised me. I inhaled deeply. Wow. I don’t think I was ready to absorb that profound of a statement on a Saturday morning. Profound, yet so simple. Once Upon a Time. I see this curse a...

Hi, I'm Sam. Farm Tales wedding suite. Had the pleasure of illustrating for #smallbugsforever. Bride-to-be turned my illustrations into a gif! Work in progress: Uncolored version is giving off some haunted house vibes…. Perils of being left handed. Attempting to use a spiral notebook backwards. Unfortunately, Cow did not make it to the final round. Sneak peek of the final product….some of my favorite veggies from the mix.
