Wednesday, March 3, 2010. Fact or Fiction #1: Eating Gluten Free makes you skinny! I can't even count anymore the number of times people have said to me or about me, "oh, she's so skinny because there's nothing she can eat, with this gluten free diet.". I can eat as much fat and sugar and carbs as anyone else. I have to be careful to eat lots of fruits and vegetables and get enough fiber and vitamins and most of all * exercise. And the bottom line is, I've gained back some weight. This is a good sign...

Gluten|ology: Gluten-Free Raspberry Buttermilk Cake
http://glutenology.blogspot.com/2010/02/gluten-free-raspberry-cake.html
Tuesday, February 9, 2010. Gluten-Free Raspberry Buttermilk Cake. This weekend it snowed in Philly. A lot. It was a good excuse for a little baking. I'd planned to make this scrumptious-looking. Poppy seed lemon cake. But no. Not a one. I guess they had withered to the point of no return and I'd thrown them away some time ago. Well, no lemons = no lemon zest. Slowly over the past few weeks, I have been easing into the habit of getting up with him (today I managed 9:30, which is pretty epic for me). This new sleeping pattern has shown me a whole new world of life, and let me tell you: I love. Over medium heat until it gets a little bubbly, then you drop your egg. Right into the pan:. I also had ...

http://glutenology.blogspot.com/2010/04/gluten-free-donuts-first-attempt.html
Thursday, April 1, 2010. Gluten Free Donuts: a first attempt. I did take pictures of the donuts (more like "munchkins") that I made a couple nights ago, though. I decided it had been too long since I'd had donuts and was really in the mood for something deep fried. Hubs was very excited at this prospect (ooh, something DEEP FRIED! And offered to help. I didn't have a lot of time on my hands and didn't want to bother with yeast and letting it rise, so I looked around at alternative recipes. Heat 1.5"-...

Tuesday, January 31, 2012. Pallets and wooden crates are really big right now. And I have to admit I love them. I really want an old looking crate in my living room to hold all of DD's toy. I just think they are so neat looking and have so much character. I went to Jo-Ann's and found this unfinished crate for only $9. It was perfect. Once the stain was done drying I decided to stencil it and give it a bit of personalization. Just as a side note, it did take several days for the crate to dry. The ...Here ...
