COMING HOME: February 2014
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Monday, February 24, 2014. I've been thinking about blogging for quite some time now. It seems that in our increasingly hectic world that both writers and readers only have time for a quick headline. Or maybe a 140 character tweet. Or a vague Facebook status update. Last week, my friend wrote a blog post about "Getting back to were we once belonged" (with a nod to the Beatles). (Click here to read her whole post). To me, that means "Coming Home". Home to family. Home to faith. Home to Love.

COMING HOME: March 2011
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. A Look at the Week. Softball, softball and more softball. Saturday, March 26, 2011. I wish I could show you the beautiful, sunny (no wind) day that we enjoyed. I wish that I could show you the little hike we went on in order to find pottery, arrowheads and cool rocks. I wish I could show you the arrowhead I found amidst a cache of pottery. I wish I could show you Lauren and my dad examining the rare black on red pottery. Thursday, March 24, 2011. A Glimpse of Things to Come. You j...

COMING HOME: August 2010
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 31, 2010. It's a proven fact you cannot cook dinner and clean the house on the same day. That's my story-and I'm stickin' to it. Monday, August 30, 2010. Captain of the World. Possibly. Except that the kids weren't arriving late to her class-she just listened to everyone else complaining about it. When Captain of the World sees a problem, she's always there to fix it. Even (and maybe especially) when it's not her problem to begin with. Ryan guffawed when I told him my epiphany. I'm th...

COMING HOME: May 2011
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 10, 2011. Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time. On some of those rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words, and some of the words are theirs. I am haunted by waters. Norman Maclean A River Runs Through It. I am fascinated by untold stories. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. No matter what you've done for yourself or for humanity, if y...

COMING HOME: Girls Only
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2011/04/girls-only.html
Saturday, April 16, 2011. Lauren and I were the only two home this weekend. So we planned a few fun activities. We went to the school's Spring Carnival, tried out the new Subway, roasted marshmallows and made these fancy-shmancy eggs. If you'd like to try them out yourself, (and see much cuter examples) check out this link: Here! I need to hang out with you more so some of your cool ideas will rub off on me. :). COMING HOME: December 2010
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 29, 2010. This is what happens when I let the girls frost sugar cookies without adult supervision. They wanted to paint Lauren's entire face, but luckily common sense returned before that adventure could occur! Sunday, December 26, 2010. Lucky little Griffen has not one, but two great-great grandmas. One grandma from Jorden's side of the family, and one grandma on Cade's side. It's perfect. Friday, December 24, 2010. Twas the Night Before the Night Before. Wednesday, December 8, 2010.

COMING HOME: October 2010
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 31, 2010. Maybe Lauren Was Right. You may remember Lauren was a little concerned that once Griffen was born I'd drop the "Mom" title and pick up the "Grandma" one exclusively? She may have been right. I just love that cell phones have cameras and that Cade and Jorden send me pictures. In my defense as a "Mom", I did return the favor and send them a picture of Lauren in her Halloween costume. I guess there is hope for me after all. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. COMING HOME: January 2011
http://marcieashton.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Tales From the Primary Room. On Sunday we had a new family move into our ward. Three cute and smart little girls joined our Primary. At one point, the five-year old asked if she could go to the bathroom. Being the ever-so-helpful Primary President, I offered to take her. (Maybe, just maybe, I wanted to wander the halls too! I asked, "Do you need help? Her little voiced squeaked, "I'm holding up my dress so I can't get any toilet paper, can you get me some? I get a kick out of...
