Diary of an amateur triathlete. The struggles and perils of an everyday triathlete. Sunday, December 25, 2011. But I know if I don't take care of myself, this pace will not be sustainable. My New Years' Resolution is simple: Balance. It's all about balance. Taking care of myself. I am going to eat healthy (no skipping meals! That sounds like a brutal schedule but cool you are making a difference. I agree, its all about balance, if you cant take care of yourself first, eventually you wont be able to h...

Diary of an amateur triathlete: Another Workout Done--Swimming
http://amateurtrigirl.blogspot.com/2012/01/another-workout-done-swimming.html
Diary of an amateur triathlete. The struggles and perils of an everyday triathlete. Monday, January 02, 2012. Another Workout Done- Swimming. I started by taking Travis for a brisk 30 minute walk. He appreciated it, at least. Normally, these walks help me loosen up and make it easier to transition to a workout afterwards. Today, I felt weak and winded. I knew I was under the weather. Yet, I. I headed down the street to the local pool. It had closed 5 minutes earlier. Blimey! It has yet to let me down.

The bigger picture...: A time to reflect...

Friday, June 22, 2012. A time to reflect. As soon as it started feeling better, of course I hopped on the bike and went for a ride. Not a hard ride, but two hours out on the road. Well, that was a case of two steps forward and five steps back! Needless to say, I've taken this whole week off thinking maybe the one thing I haven't tried, complete rest, minus going to work, might be the answer. That's not working so well, it even appears to be making things worse. Butyou knew that was coming didn't you!

Dave Nunez Memorial Site. A bicycle does get you there and more. And there is always the thin edge of danger to keep you alert and comfortably apprehensive. http://amateurtrigirl.blogspot.com/2011/10/new-years-resolution.html
Diary of an amateur triathlete. The struggles and perils of an everyday triathlete. Wednesday, October 05, 2011. Rosh Hashanah was last week. It gave me an opportunity to reflect on what changes and improvements I want to start working on. The, when New Year's comes around on January 1, I can reassess. I feel like it's given me a head start. 1 Be on time! But how can a chronically late person achieve this? 2 Wake up early. Get the worm. I can't achieve #1 if I don't wake up early! Plus, I can be more pro...
