Nolan's News: February 2010
http://nolans-news.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 25, 2010. Over the weekend I said goodbye to my old room and hello to my new one! Another picture from my old room. Mommy and daddy moved this mattress into their room and I sure had fun jumping on it! I also had snack time on the mattress, this is why I didn't want to help! But in the end I did help carry all my books into my new room. But not before trying to get daddy to read me one last book in my old room. More of my room! And my old room is now another guest room. Mommy took this...

Nolan's News: March 2010
http://nolans-news.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 29, 2010. Daddy and me walking across the bridge to check out all the water. Look at all that water! Here's a good picture showing how high the river is. Those trees are not even supposed to be close to the water and way in the back you can see stairs that go right into the river. We walked along one of the trails until we couldn't go any further. Daddy's trying to explain that the rest of the trail is under water. Um, I think I'll just look at the water from up here thank you.". I just cli...

Rissa's Yummy Nuggets: Attack of the Junebugs
http://rissasyummynuggets.blogspot.com/2010/07/attack-of-junebugs.html
Chocolate-Covered and Fresh from the Oven. Thursday, July 8, 2010. Attack of the Junebugs. Reprinted with permission of myself from the Ft. Randall journal. The following is based on a true story that occured in June of 2010; no names have been changed, but several insects were justifiably harmed in the making of this story. They don't bite, or smell, or burrow under skin (like the 90 chiggers currently taking up residence under my flesh), but there is something about those big, bumbling Junebugs I just.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Last week mommy and I were out and about and mommy said we needed to go shopping for Rose. I got really excited because I love shopping for Rose. It means we go to my favorite store, Petco! And on this day mommy just happened to have her camera with her and she said it was okay to take a few pictures:. Mommy said the little carts are why I love coming here so much. Mommy says if she ever finds one for sale she might buy it. I just love pushing these around! Mouse or Guinea Pig?

Rissa's Yummy Nuggets: Hill-billies
http://rissasyummynuggets.blogspot.com/2010/07/hill-billies.html
Chocolate-Covered and Fresh from the Oven. Tuesday, July 20, 2010. Betcha didn't know I was gone, eh? That's because I'm stealthy like that. Cat-like. Has "cat-like reflexes" become a cliche? And didn't it originate in. If both of these are true, I have a deeper respect for David Spade's influence on our cultural consciousness. The boys did pull the "are we there yet? Some things never change. Okay, so I may have staged that last photo to resemble the 80s version. What of it? Lake Sylvan, I adore thee!

Rissa's Yummy Nuggets: Mini Nugget: Midnight Snack
http://rissasyummynuggets.blogspot.com/2010/06/mini-nugget-midnight-snack.html
Chocolate-Covered and Fresh from the Oven. Sunday, June 27, 2010. Mini Nugget: Midnight Snack. I usually wait until something of substance comes along, so I can post something more, uh, substantial (is it the teacher in me, that compels me to write essays? But this is a breaking newsflash: new favorite midnight snack. This is major, people! So tonight I seized upon the french loaf on the counter (Hy-Vee bakery, 2 for $1.99, what what! I love dipping crusty bread in oil/vinegar, but something about the to...

Rissa's Yummy Nuggets: Million Dollar Idea: Grocery Lottery
http://rissasyummynuggets.blogspot.com/2010/06/million-dollar-idea-grocery-lottery.html
Chocolate-Covered and Fresh from the Oven. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Million Dollar Idea: Grocery Lottery. I consider myself a bit of an armchair millionaire. I’m coming up with ideas. That would make me millions, if only I could set them in motion. (Ask Greg—he would roll his eyes and say “yep.”) Some ideas wouldn’t make me any money, per se… they’re just so utterly awesome that they still deserve the “million dollar” tag. Intrigued? I know. Calm down already. Fresh tomatoes = 96. Fruity Pebbles = 12.
