Monday, February 16, 2015. It's also warmer because the 3rd and 4th nines are over. What are the nines? So in Mongolia, they describe the winter as "the Nine Nines", which is nine sets of nine days. The third and fourth Nines are claimed to be the coldest. Winter is technically 81 days and begins at the winter solstice. The winter solstice was on December 22nd. These are the indicators of the Nine Nines:. First Nines: Vodka made from milk freezes. Second Nines: Vodka (alcohol) freezes.

Friday, December 4, 2015. And through it all, it is well. Thanksgiving 2015 in Bayanhongor aimag. Got picked up on the side of the road, sat on a bag for 4 hours in a bus aisle to get there). All the film I brought back. A two legged dog, haha nah he had four legs. At a house warming party with the Korean volunteers, her son dressed up for us. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. The best beetroot salad. Chicken with beetroot salad and sundried tomato, basil and garlic sauce! Another beautiful day in Manly! This summer has really been glorious - at least in Sydney where we haven't had too many stinking hot days! As our new oven is not yet connected I had to cook the beetroot in a french oven. It worked surprisingly well! My beloved cast iron French oven. An amazing wedding gift! 3-4 fresh beetroots, cut in wedges. 1 pack baby rocket and spinah mix.
