I had never thought that something as simple as a rice patty could inspire such awe in me; but that was before I had seen the immensely lush green terraced patties which encompass the peaceful beauty of Bali. Rice patties on the way to Ubud, Bali. The beautiful temple Pura Tanah Lot. I doubt it. Are they a reflection of any part of traditional Balinese culture? Yet again, the answer is no.
