Due to the nature of the car there is no such thing as a 'standard' V8. Originally based on the SEiW, the car has evolved in a number of areas. Here is a summary of typical specifications:. Weight: 1450-1630lbs (later cars have cats, more luxurious interiors &c). Fuel tank: 6.0-11.0 gallons. Layout: V8, 3500cc - 5300cc. Construction: All aluminium, dry liners. Valve gear: OHV, 2 per cylinder. Gearbox: 5 speed manual (Rover SD1, Borg Warner T5, or Rover R380). Front: Double wishbones, coil springs/dampers.

I have only included accurate data that is backed up with magazine road tests or timing tickets from the drag strip. Accelerometer data is not. Original prototype. May 1991. Westfield Sportscars
This is a picture of my car, a 1998 Westfield Seight. So called because it is built in the tradition of the Lotus Seven, compact, spartan, but superb in handling and cornering ability, giving true driver satisfaction. However, the bit that makes it different from all those other Sevenesque cars is the 3.9 litre Rover V8 engine. My other toy is my 1968 Cooper S - see more about this on my Mini page. We are all children, aren't we? The difference between the men and the children, it is only the toys.
