At the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, but horses won't be the only ones shining! We'll be in attendance with two alpacas as part of the Silent Auction at the Rood and Riddle Grand Prix, to benefit the Kentucky Equine Humane Center. But there are fun happenings going on all day. The sale is contingent on the buyers showing that they are a...

Loco Life of Lindy: April 2013
http://locolindy.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Loco Life of Lindy. Inspiration and photos from a Kentucky farm girl and fiber artist. Thursday, April 11, 2013. Life and Death on the Farm. Overlook by our animal cemetery. Spring is bursting with new life, from each swelling bud to the baby creatures that arrive during this "ideal" time of the year. We like to have our alpaca babies born in the spring, too, (though we've had them every month of the year), when there is plenty of fresh green grass and mild temperatures. I know that when we lose a cria, ...

Loco Life of Lindy: March 2012
http://locolindy.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Loco Life of Lindy. Inspiration and photos from a Kentucky farm girl and fiber artist. Wednesday, March 28, 2012. I've been walking in our woods regularly, just enjoying this amazing spring and reflecting on so many blessings, the best of which is my Mom's miraculous return to health. I've also been listening to a really good audiobook while on my walks, Wild. By Cheryl Strayed, about a young woman who hikes the Pacific Crest Trail alone- it's been good motivation to push myself just a little further!

Loco Life of Lindy: Harvest Time... for wool, that is!
http://locolindy.blogspot.com/2013/03/harvest-time-for-wool-that-is.html
Loco Life of Lindy. Inspiration and photos from a Kentucky farm girl and fiber artist. Thursday, March 14, 2013. Harvest Time. for wool, that is! I had long anticipated getting the fleeces off our seven sheep, as I have really come to love working with their locks in my felting and their fiber was looking wonderful. It's nice to let their wool grow as long as possible, but if we wait too long, there's a greater likelihood of them getting messed up with excess hay and other vegetable matter. I know very l...

Loco Life of Lindy: January 2012

Loco Life of Lindy. Inspiration and photos from a Kentucky farm girl and fiber artist. Sunday, January 29, 2012. Wow, can you believe it? Two posts in 3 days (and I still have lots of felting to post about)! It's a bright Sunday morning and I'm just back from a refreshing walk with Hoss. It was so lovely on the river trail that I stopped in to get my camera and we walked it a second time. Not a cloud in the sky, and the ground is slightly frozen, so nice not to be slogging in mud. Loco Life of Lindy: August 2012
http://locolindy.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Loco Life of Lindy. Inspiration and photos from a Kentucky farm girl and fiber artist. Friday, August 31, 2012. It seems to have been a spectacular summer for butterflies! This one was spotted in our backyard. And these were on a trip to the Smokies, where we encountered lots of butterflies on our hikes. Our son took it as a challenge to see how many he could pick up at once, and then to see if he could get them to stay on his face for a photo! Naturally, our daughter had to rise to the challenge as well!
