Caroline in Mexico: February 2015
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Saturday, February 14, 2015. And then He picks up the pieces. It's been over 6 months since I moved out of the orphanage where I used to live with my 10 little (or not so little anymore) pre-teens. I figured it is ABOUT TIME that I updated the world on how I'm doing, where I'm at, what I'm doing, etc. So here goes. I feel like a completely different person than who I was 6 months ago. But I can honestly say - it was worth it.
Caroline in Mexico: Sometimes... it all falls apart
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2014/10/sometimes-it-all-falls-apart.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Friday, October 17, 2014. Sometimes. it all falls apart. It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’ve had a lot to say but haven’t felt like I had the freedom to be honest with myself, supporters, co-workers or the on-looking world in general. For reasons that are beyond me, I have gotten the impression over the years that support raising missionaries are supposed to share only the “good” stuff. But truth is – most days I am...

For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Thursday, February 20, 2014. Family Dinners with Becca. As soon as we got back from Christmas break, Becca asked if she could cook our boys dinner. Of course we said wholeheartedly, "YES! So Becca. thank you. We couldn't be more grateful for you. Caroline in Mexico: The Easter Bunny
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2014/04/the-easter-bunny.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Thursday, April 10, 2014. Last night, I sat my boys down in the living room of our dorm and asked them all if anyone knew why we celebrate Easter. I told them that Easter was next week, they were about to have 2 weeks off of school (the Holy Week here in Mexico lasts 2 weeks and the entire. Country takes vacation at the same time) and I asked them what is it exactly that we celebrate on Easter Sunday. Day of the Child! Thank you...
Caroline in Mexico: Hall of Fame
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2014/08/hall-of-fame.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Thursday, August 7, 2014. The longer I've had to get to know my boys - their gifts, talents, interests and what just makes them unique - the more I've started to dream of who they can grow up to be one day. I dream of the kind of men they'll be. I dream of what kind of fathers and husbands they'll be. I dream of what they might study one day and what careers could define their adulthood. Because we are obsessed with them. Dedica...
Caroline in Mexico: Bless It
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2014/05/bless-it.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Sunday, May 4, 2014. If you’ve known me for a while, you’d know that when I hear something that I don’t like or that doesn’t sound lovely, I often respond with a verbal “bless it.”. For example, “hey Caroline. My car just broke down and my battery is dead.”. That would maybe get a “bless it” out of me. Honestly, what does it mean to be “blessed” by God? But none of that is actually biblical is it? I want the pain to be over....
Caroline in Mexico: Volunteer Training
http://carolineinmexico.blogspot.com/2015/04/volunteer-training.html
For we can not help but speak about what we have seen and heard." Acts 4:20. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. This month, I had the privilege of training the newest Back2Back Monterrey volunteer recruits. About 45 volunteers from local area churches came together to attend a training on providing trauma competent care to the orphans we serve. As we prepared to provide this training, I just kept asking myself, "If these people were about to sit down with my 10 boys, what would I tell them? Did you know that chew...

Ransomed Hearts for the Zambian Orphans
Ransomed Hearts for the Zambian Orphans. Saturday, October 31, 2009. Thank You from The Ransoms! A sweet church in Iowa asked their children to collect a "noisy offering" to help support Randy and I on our mission in Lusaka, Zambia. A noisy offering is the children's change and makes a loud noise as it is collected and shaken each week! This is a short video highlighting a little of what we do here in Zambia and is a Thank You to ALL of YOU who have prayed and supported us financially! Fun DAY in LUSAKA!
Serving The Peace - edifying entertainment - Home
We can plant the seed. God provides the increase. Music is mentioned in one out of every four books of the Bible. The Biblical hymnal, Psalms, contains 150 songs which lyrics are clearly in the public domain. Music is in good portion, part of the Living Word and clearly language for the soul. Should not our lyrics reflect the Spirit and the greatness of God? In Romans 14: 19 it commands: Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
