I change my life! Created on 17 January 2003 (#858997). Last updated on 25 June 2011. Sesa Woruban - I change my life. Originally came online as a fan of Stargate SG-1. Since then, I've found I'm watching less and less telly although I'm still vaguely keeping up with some shows. I'm currently living and working in Bristol, UK. Rather excitingly, I will be starting med school in October 2010. Yay me! I have two lovely boys, Orson who was born on 12th June 2007 and Dexter who was born 13th July 2009.

Get out there (here) and enjoy! Rob around the World. I don't usually post two a day from out in the wilds, but I learnt something interesting earlier and wanted to share it. It seems that one of South Africa's current exports is. money. I don't mean gold, or diamonds, but literally money itself. South Africa operates one of the largest mints in the world and makes coins for a large number of countries including Australia, Ireland, Germany (and presumably the rest of the EU), and many more.

Get out there (here) and enjoy! Rob around the World. My flight from Johannesburg arrived early into Heathrow this morning, after leaving late from SA. Once down we suffered some delays when our captain discovered another aircraft in his assigned parking space, but these were extremely minor and in the interim we got to see a great deal of the apron while he moseyed around (in our 747-400) waiting for the space to be cleared. 22nd-Dec-2006 11:52 pm (UTC). I've been doing well lately. the weather has been truly awful- strong sideways wind and rain in the last couple of days, but i've been walking 6 km or so a day. it helps so much to bring the right music! And due to the crap weather, the path is always empty and i can bop and punch my fist to the music as much as i want to! I'm also doing different kinds of leg lifts most days for different muscles. I even got to see the view from the control tower, thanks to a friend of my instructor here. Good as that was however, the highlight for me had come earlier in the flight whe we did some low flying. Get out there (here) and enjoy! Rob around the World. I flew out of Jo'burg yesterday and ended up further south than I've ever been in my life so far. I am in the remote mountain kingdom of Lesotho and staying just across the road from the royal palace. In between the dust and rock are the dwellings of the poorer citizens of the city. Not quite slums, but certainly the same kind of cheaply errected houses of wood, concrete and corragated iron to be found across Africa. The centre of Maseru is quiet for ...

I'm sat in a tiny Internet cafe hidden away in a corner of Johannesburg Airport with a computer that has a very dodgey spacebar. Shoestrings is in the quiet (and safe)suberb of Kempton Park, and just 3km fromthe airport. There's a choice of provate rooms and dorms,with space for tents in the yard out back. I can recommend it and hope to be backlater in my trip. 13th-Oct-2006 06:04 pm (UTC).
