Friday, May 10, 2013. We pride ourselves on not going with the flow. We try hard not to fall into the trap of American consumerism. However, we chucked all that all out the window and went to DISNEY! I wanted to hate it. I wanted to be above all the materialism. However, we had a great time. We did pack our own lunches and didn't purchase. Souvieners. Sophie is quite the shopper and. Thursday, February 21, 2013. We met this handsome guy four years ago today. Thanks, Alex for having a birthday today - it serves as a great reminder! We don't do big "gotcha" day celebrations at our house. Birthdays are a big deal across the board and I'm just too tired to make a big deal about 8 different days. Lame? Probably. When we told Micah at dinner that it was his special day, he promptly put in a request for the gun he wanted since he can have "anything in the world, today! He is incredibly cute!

Tuesday, June 28, 2011. Sophie had her first dance recital ever last weekend. She was beyond excited. We were challenged by the request of her teacher to get her hair into this bun! But, we did it! Sophie had a huge, cheesy, proud grin on her face through her entire dance. We were so proud of her and happy to see her enjoy herself so much! I've decided (again) to quit Facebook. Sunday, July 29, 2012. I know as a mom, I'm supposed to say that I can't believe Micah is three already. But, the truth is it seems like he's been around forever! We had a pirate party in the park for Micah's third. The biggest hit was hiding gold coins in the pebbles. The kids searched for pirate's booty for a LONG time.
