It's a String ThingChallenge: Picking Up the Pace ~ Again
http://stringthingchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/12/picking-up-pace-again.html
It's a String Thing. Tuesday, December 7, 2010. Picking Up the Pace Again. Here is a top that I completed last year when we had our snow storm here in Raleigh, NC. You can link back to see the post here. I just finished quilting it and also made a super terrific monogrammed burp cloth to go along with it. This one goes to a sweet baby in the Soldier's Angeles Organization. I ♥ the backing on this one. Labels: ice blue string quilt. December 8, 2010 at 1:49 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Vintage Sheet Quilting Bee: Let's get wonky!
http://vintagesheetbee.blogspot.com/2010/05/lets-get-wonky.html
Monday, May 24, 2010. For my month, I've chosen the wonky log-cabin block. It's super easy, and another block that is great for scraps. I wrote this blog post. About it a while back, with several pictures of my test blocks. And here's a nice tutorial. For a wonky log cabin block (though I'd like the center square not cut wonky). Start with a 3" square in the middle (and don't cut this wonky). I love bright colors, so go crazy! You don't have to square up the block when you're done. Find Us Here Too.

Park Hill Farm: December 2014
http://victoria-carroll-parkhill.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tutorial: Machine Binding A Potholder. Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Yesterday, as the last Tuesday of the month, I went to two quilting groups; The Sunshine Club in the morning, and Evergreen in the afternoon. I spent most of my time ironing the large four patches that are now all sewn together. But I also did a wee bit of stitching on the tiny Birds In The Air block for the Farmer's Wife quilt, too. When I got to Evergreen, I got so involved that I forgot to take pictures, so sorry! Links to this post.

It's a String ThingChallenge: String Challenge #2 ~ Patriotic String Quilt
http://stringthingchallenge.blogspot.com/2010/06/string-challenge-2-patriotic-string.html
It's a String Thing. Friday, June 4, 2010. String Challenge #2 Patriotic String Quilt. This is Rita and this is my second string quilt. I started this quilt way back in March, and I thought Memorial Day weekend was a good time to finish it up. It measures 52 x 66 inches so it's a fairly good size. I’ll be donating this quilt to the Quilts of Valor program. Seems everyone enjoys making these string quilts as much as I do. I just love seeing all the projects . they're all so inspiring! What a great quilt!

It's a String ThingChallenge: Chevron String Quilt
http://stringthingchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/01/chevron-string-quilt.html
It's a String Thing. Saturday, January 22, 2011. Since I'm the first one to post in 2011 - Happy New Year to all! I've been working on the Rainbow Scrap Challenge over at So Scrappy blog. Mystery, and after I'd sewn all of those string blocks for the quilt, I kind of missed them so this is what I've been working on. Beginning of quilt with strips sewn on the diagonal. To make the blocks that chevron, you layer two blocks right sides together with the strips running the same direction. How beautiful. ...
