Oehrig's Olios: August 2012
http://oehrigs-olios.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Summer Comes at Last. Thursday, August 23, 2012. A few days ago I had occasion to recall that expression, when I heard it on an old TV show. Being curious I looked it up on the Internet and found the origins of the term "rid or redd up the table" referring to clearing or cleaning up the table after eating. Here is the website that I found. Now I feel somewhat vindicated. Http:/ www.word-detective.com/2009/06/rid-up/comment-page-1/#comment-42579. Tuesday, August 21, 2012. Happy Anniversary to Us. http://oehrigs-olios.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Summer Comes at Last. Sunday, October 14, 2012. Fall is in the air. It has finally started raining. It was so dry here that our little water retention pond nearly dried up. We had a little waterfall overflowing our front gutter today. I'm sure that there is probably one little leaf blocking the downspout and Ken is going to have to get out the ladder and take care of it. I'm sure I'll be blogging more about that as it gets closer. On another note, we've managed to find homes for about 3 dozen little gold...

What a wonderful group of women, (and kiddos too.). Thursday, December 15, 2011. Sometime has come. I made a batch of my rolls this morning so we could have some with the wonderful soup that I made yesterday for dinner tonight. Here is the recipe. 1 pkg yeast, 1/4 cup warm water (combine, set aside). 1 stick butter, melted. 4 cups flour (or a little less). In 1/4 cup warm water, dissolve the yeast and set aside. After pouring the butter/milk/egg mixture into the mixing bowl, mix in 2 cups of the flour.

Pink Smoothie Girls: November 2011
http://pinksmoothiegirls.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
What a wonderful group of women, (and kiddos too.). Monday, November 28, 2011. My mom used bread stuffing in our holiday turkeys and it wasn't until I married my husband that I was introduced to Wild Rice Stuffing. Since our marriage I have used this instead of the bread stuffing that most of us are familiar with. I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. I hope that you might try it sometime. It also makes a great side dish for other meals. 65279; 1 pkg. Wild Rice-a-Roni. 1 can water chestnuts (chopped).

Pink Smoothie Girls: Parmesan Baked Tomatoes
http://pinksmoothiegirls.blogspot.com/2012/01/parmesan-baked-tomatoes.html
What a wonderful group of women, (and kiddos too.). Monday, January 9, 2012. Especially the funky organic genetically unaltered heritage breed that cost an arm and a leg in the summertime. Someday, I will successfully grow those big beautiful babies, but in the meantime, I will just sit and dream about them every time I make these Parmesan Baked Tomatoes. They are so darn easy to make! 4-6 Tomatoes, washed and sliced in half. 2-4 Tsp freshly chopped up Oregano to taste. Salt and Pepper to taste.
