Although it stands only slightly higher than its neighbors, Pyramid Peak nonetheless dominates the Crystal Range atop which it sits. Great views from the summit make this a must-do. Starting Point - 5800' near Stawberry @ 7:15 AM. Route - Rocky Canyon. Elevation Gain/Distance - 4100'/ 4miles. Summit Elevation/Time - 9983'/12:30.

The date is almost finalized. We just got to finish verifying with Shasta Mountain Guide Service (www.shastaguides.com). Wednesday, May 30th we climb to Horse camp. Day two, Thursday we climb to Lake Helen. Day three, Friday, June 1st, we summit and head on down. The Climbers this year include 5 back for their 2nd try:.

Climb Mt. Shasta 2007. Monday, May 14, 2007. Mt Ralston - Bagged It. Carl, Mike and I knocked down another peak this past Saturday. What felt great about the accomplishment was that we went from Sacramento to the high altitude (9235') without a whimper or affect from altitude. We parked at Camp Sacramento and were on the trail by 7:50 AM. At 11:05 we were on the summit. I carried about a 35 lb. back pack which added to the workout. It was a steep ascent. Mt Tallac and Lake Tahoe. Mike and Echo Lake Below.

A daily record of my prepartion for climbing Mt. Shasta on June 1st. Gotta Bust It Up The Hill! Friday, June 09, 2006. Finally - The Climb! The Gang of 9 Climbers!
