We have been lucky with the weather and again it has been a beautiful day. The morning started with rolling hills and one mini climb to take us to our coffee stop in Geyserville. Life on Sabbatical…. Last night after an epic 15 hour train journey from the Dolomites, I arrived in Interlaken, Switerland. The train from Mestre to Milano arrived 90 mins late so I missed my connecting train in Milan – the rest of the journey went downhill from there! Life on Sabbatical…. By helenlouise31 on October 14, 2013. The last two days had shorter rides around Yountville. On one day we rode tp to St Helena and took a detour around lake Hennessey. It was a beautiful loop with a decent climb and a long fun descent. Alas I got stung by a bee on the neck during the descent and so I looked a bit strange for the rest of the day with a very swollen neck! On the last day we just had a morning ride- it was however very tough! Now on to San Francisco for the weekend.

We biked through an area of beautiful redwoods, still tracking the Russian River. We had our picnic lunch in the State Reserve under the redwoods and then 4 of us decided to tackle the Green Valley route for the afternoon.
