Friday, 6 January 2017. With the promise of a sunny and wind free day, i took a chance of a trip to Cullercoats to glimpse the Black Redstart. Could not get close as i cant handle steps, so had to settle for a perch above the bird. It favoured a small cliff area above the beach, and already had a few admirers when i arrived flicking away on boulders and beach, before a trip to an adjacent garden. Tuesday, 3 January 2017.
