Karena Bella Jewelry: December 2011
http://karenabella.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 4, 2011. Click to see Karena Bella Jewelry in the Des Moines Register! Forgive me.but I just wanted to toot my horn really quick. Early last week I was contacted from a writer for the Des Moines Register (comparable to the St Paul Pioneer Press) about including my bracelet/etsy shop in a gift giving guide in the Sunday paper. Of course I said YES! The bracelet sold right away, among some other things. Gotta love free advertising! Posted by Janell Armstrong. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

http://marcillemadness.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 9, 2011. It is snowing here in Atlanta! This is our street - 3 inches in 1 hour. I have to say it is really pretty. After living without snowy winters for 14 years, I truly forgot how pretty the first snow fall can be. The boys will be PUMPED in the morning! It is supposed to snow until 6am - this is so much FUN! Ellie - 3 months. Thursday, January 6, 2011. A perfect little Marcille Christmas! Happy New Year to all! The boys loved our wintery weather and Jay and I got out to build a very ...

Suddenly Last Summer: Wherein I Do a Brave Thing and Am Rewarded
http://suddenlylastsummer.blogspot.com/2012/03/wherein-i-do-brave-thing-and-am.html
What I make, think, like, dread, do. But not an exhaustive list. Friday, March 9, 2012. Wherein I Do a Brave Thing and Am Rewarded. That post title makes it sound like heroics are coming. There are no heroics to be found here, today or probably ever. I'm not that type. No, the "brave" thing I did was purely a matter of moving outside my comfort zone: I mustered up my enthusiasm and topped it with a good shmear of maturity and self-possession (fortified with some bourbon), and took myself. The place had r...

Reflections on living and working with kids. Kids in the kitchen garden. October 4, 2011. For a few years now, public schools have been getting the students involved in planting vegie gardens. Reflections on living and working with kids. March 6, 2011. Image from Microsoft clip art. The next two strategies are from the Second Step. Put your hand on your tummy to check out how you are feeling, and. L say calm down to yourself, using a slow voice. 2 take three deep belly breaths. 3 count to 4 slowly. It’s a good technique for parents to use as well! Take a deep breath and tense your muscles, make them tight all over. Let your breath out and relax your muscles. Reach for your toes and hang there.

Marcille Madness: April 2011
http://marcillemadness.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 6, 2011. Scott took the boys to play putt putt golf one Sunday about a month ago. Apparently Andrew wanted to climb all over the miniature buildings and wasn't very good with the clubs either. In summary, this adventure fell a little short of parent/child bond expectations; good thing they are all still so young, I have a feeling there are plenty of other putt putt rounds in our future. Monday, April 4, 2011. Congrats UCONN, but I so wish Butler could have brought home the WIN. Now, ...
