Simple Creations by Andrea: My true passion, Memory quilts

http://simplecreationsbyandrea.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-true-passion-memory-quilts.html

Tuesday, February 2, 2010. My true passion, Memory quilts. Remember all those tags you looked at? NB,” “0-3 mo,” “3-6 mo"? I can put those on the quilt. I can also keep sleeves intact so you can always remember the tiny arms that you once so carefully dressed. Feet from sleepers can be kept so you can think about all those nights you had to catch kicking feet to get them in there. I make patchwork quilts and memory quilts for grown-ups, too! April 24, 2010 at 8:02 AM. You are so good at these andrea!

Simple Creations by Andrea: September 2010

http://simplecreationsbyandrea.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 30, 2010. I met a lady at the park with two young boys (and now a girl on the way) a while ago who recently had a yard sale to pass on some blue clothes to make room for some pink. I was running low on clothes for David and she was more than happy to give me a bag for two shirts for her boys. How awesome is that? I made my all-time favorite rocket for her young one, but for the other a robot was requested. I love a little bartering! The clothes she gave me were adorable!

Simple Creations by Andrea: March 2010

Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Now that I know how to bunch the sleeves, I wanted to see how they would look with little bows on them. The material I used to make the bows is actually meant to accent a dress hem, but its all I had and it worked! I am really getting the improvising thing down. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. Thanks to my very talented sister-in-law Marie, I learned to how to bunch the sleeves of the shirts to make them a little more girly. That's it. Your done! Monday, March 29, 2010. I had made thi...

Thursday, February 17, 2011. Fun with Polymer Clay. There are many, many things that one can do with Polymer Clay. I sort of did these the hard way and got white clay and painted them. I wouldn't do it again. It took at least seven coats of paint for everything! The picture for this one doesn't really do it justice. It is actually small and delicate-looking. I used a cookie cutter for the umbrella if that gives you an idea of the size. Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). If you have ...

Martin Messenger: 48 Hours after Surgery

http://sethandashleyfamily.blogspot.com/2012/05/48-hours-after-surgery.html

Tuesday, May 29, 2012. 48 Hours after Surgery. We were told that the first 24-48 hours after surgery were critical. It was important that Rex's pain be well-managed and that he not get too upset. If his blood pressure got too high, there would be a risk of busting stitches on his heart. Thankfully, this was never an issue. We headed back to Rex's room where Seth immediately picked him up. He hadn't held Rex since that Monday before surgery. Wow Did I believe that God still performs miracles? Rex's breath...

Since her DDaddy is so amazing and loves her so much, he jumped at the chance! He arrived Saturday afternoon and left Monday after lunch. It was a pretty fun-filled weekend! She looks scared, but she didn't flinch. We loved having DDaddy with us for the weekend! The school held a Grandparents Day program in the gym and also had donuts.

Thursday, July 31, 2014. Before we talk about the awesome time we had at the game, I'll show you Lyla's cute, asymmetrical bob! Her hair was looking quite scraggly and needed a good trim. I like her with short hair. Seth's employer services all of the John Deere equipment for the Lexington Legends so we scored awesome seats for the game! It was the first minor league baseball game for both of the kids. The Legends lost, but it was still a great game AND they had Independence Day fireworks afterward!

Lyla was so excited to finally meet her cousin, Emily! We kept Emily so her Mommy and Daddy could have a Valentine's Day lunch date. She put up a fight, but finally fell asleep like this. I loved every minute. Sunday, we hosted a little lunch and mini-baby shower for Jensen and Jesse. Sara and Jennifer with Emily. So proud of her work.

Anything which parents have not learned from experience they can now learn from their children. ". Friday, August 17, 2012. Oh the places he'll go! On Wednesday, we visited Owen's school and met his teacher, assistant and the Student Teacher who will be working in his class until December. I had a babysitter come for an hour to watch Ben and Audrey, so Danny and I could enjoy this time with Owen. Here he is at his chair. After a little time cuddling, he sat up and said, "You can get me dressed now.".

Anything which parents have not learned from experience they can now learn from their children. ". Monday, November 12, 2012. As soon as Owen said he wanted a Ninja birthday party, I started pinning ideas and immediately knew I wanted to have his party at some kind of Martial Arts studio/school. I spoke with a parent at our preschool about the Tae Kwon Do. Of our best little friends (a great mix of new and old including 4 new friends from Owen's kindergarten class) were able to come.
