Wednesday, September 30, 2009. A Very Full Tuesday. Were we busy yesterday. Tuesdays and Thursdays I teach art at Kids' Club. Yesterday we were finishing up our collages. The students have really enjoyed making these, and I started one myself; I couldn't resist. When it's finished I'll post a photo of it. Below is little Shari, holding her collage. Wednesday, June 10, 2009. You know how once in a while you read a book that changes your life? Well, I just did this past Sunday. Same Kind of Different As Me. Is a true story and mostly takes place in Ft. Worth, TX, which is merely 4 hours north of me straight up I-35. I'd seen this book many times in Borders and flipped through it once and nearly bought it a couple of times, but for whatever reason, never did. I put it on my Amazon wishlist and Mom sent it to me for my birthday. I love stories- true.

Sunday, December 27, 2009. It's 2 days after Christmas and my cousins Jamie and Mandy are here w/ their two girls, Ella (age 8) and Ruthie (age 4). We've had a great day with them. Clark is on his way w/ Anita and Eva, probably about an hour before they arrive. Here are my cranberry almond tarts I made for Christmas dinner. Yum! Christmas afternoon we went down to Lake Park to see the Cowarts again. Here are John and Susan opening our gift. Then my Jenny got there! I love her so much. And they love her!

Friday, July 23, 2010. My Beautiful, Beautiful Room! We've been in our house since April 1, and I have spent nearly all of June painting different rooms before going out of town for three weeks in July. The week before we left for Florida, I just couldn't bear the thought of returning and having to paint my cavernous bedroom. So, I hired my good friend Jona to do it for me! Saturday, September 11, 2010. So this type of necklace/collar/whatever seems to be really popular right now. I saw it popping up on Anthropologie. First, but everyone else seems to be catching on, too. Anthropologie sells theirs for like, you know, a hundred bucks or more. JC Penny had a pretty one for around $35. Thursday, May 27, 2010. Happy Birthday to Me. So I turned 35 yesterday. What does one do on one's birthday when it's on a Wednesday? School is still in, you still have to get up early the next morning to go to work. I had a pretty good day, actually. Today is my last day at WIM, so yesterday we had a staff lunch at The Gristmill in Gruene. Lanier came, and so did Cheri and Caleb. It was lovely. An 85mm 1.8 lens! I can't wait to get started.
