showintale's blog: Van Helsing
http://showintale.blogspot.com/2013/01/van-helsing.html
Welcome to the madhouse. Monday, January 14, 2013. I'd seen bits and pieces of Van Helsing at various times since it came out, but never got a chance to sit down and watch the whole movie until recently. That's actually kind of funny, because I had intended to see it on the big screen when it was first released. Subscribe in a reader. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Singlish Stories: February 2007
http://singlish-stories.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 27, 2007. From The Aesop's Fables : The Two Bags. Every man carries along two bags with him, one in front and one behind, and both are packed full of faults. The one in front contains his neighbours' faults, the one behind his own. Therefore it is that men do not see their own faults, but never fail to see those of others. Sunday, February 18, 2007. From The Aesop's Fables : The Swollen Fox. Thursday, February 15, 2007. Have you met the blogger who introduced me to blogging yet? Melk Mu...

showintale's blog: Orlando
http://showintale.blogspot.com/2012/10/orlando.html
Welcome to the madhouse. Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Isn't the sort of book I usually mention on this blog, but a recent rereading of it made me think it worth a plug here. For any who don't already know, Orlando. Is a bit of weird tale, a time- and gender-bender ( not. And of course, it's Virginia Woolf. What other recommendation does one need? Subscribe in a reader. showintale's blog: The Time Traveler's Wife
http://showintale.blogspot.com/2012/12/the-time-travelers-wife.html
Welcome to the madhouse. Monday, December 24, 2012. The Time Traveler's Wife. I expected to enjoy The Time Traveler's Wife. More than I did. Part of the problem may have been that my expectations were higher than usual, since I'd heard so much about it and felt like I was rather late to the party when I did finally get to read it. But somehow, it didn't quite measure up to the hype. Subscribe in a reader. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. View my complete profile.

showintale's blog: June 2012
http://showintale.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Welcome to the madhouse. Friday, June 29, 2012. It's hard not to like The Hunger Games. It is a page-turner of a tale, loaded with action. Katniss is a pretty likable main character, and even the minor characters carry their weight in the book. If you are a character-driven reader or a plot-driven reader, it's hard to complain about The Hunger Games. The same goes, of course, if you are a reader more interested in social critique. The Hunger Games. All in all, though, The Hunger Games. I'm spending most ...
