The Johnson Family: November 2011
http://thejohnsonfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 15, 2011. We love the fall. We especially love the fall playing under our tree. Unfortunately for Brown, our tree produces a lot of leaves to be raked. So he decided to hire some help. She may be small, but she sure is enthusiastic about her work. She tries really hard. But occasionally she likes to takes a swing break. I guess she deserves it. At the end of the day, she sure is proud of the finished product. At least she is cheap labor. Thank for the help Millie! From what I can tell, ...

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Last weekend, in Atlanta, I found this high chair that needed a major facelift at a local church rummage sale. I spotted it from across the way and bee-lined for it! Nothing some sanding and paint cant fix! I joked with my friend, Sarah Neale, that the bargainer in me wanted to negotiate the $15 dollar price. I should be condemned for even letting it enter my head, because the money was for CHURCH for crying out loud! And you wouldnt believe. This will ...

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Squeezing it all in. I finally am getting my energy back and have hit the ground running. I have mowed the lawn for my first, and second, time ever. I feel like it is one thing I can do to help Ryan out since he is working so much and will give us more time with him when he is home. Mae and I have had many a playdates at the library, parks, splashpads, friends houses, and the pool. We are soaking up every ounce of summer. We headed back to Charlotte Thu...

Holt 23 Months Old. Holt is 23 months old! I am in denial that he will be 2 in just a few weeks. Holt is still the most energetic little boy I know. He NEVER stops! Yesterday we had his class Easter Egg Hunt. Guess how many eggs Holt had in his basket at the end of the hunt? At bedtime, Holt loves to read books and sing songs&...

The Johnson Family: October 2012
http://thejohnsonfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2012. After 4 weeks of being cooped up in the house, we thought we should all hit the road and head east. We love going to see all the cousins (and their mama and daddy), and it was time for Sims to meet the crew! And what a crew it is! Excuse the bad picture). There are always fun adventures to be had when we go there. Like playing in the rain. Hanging out with fun people while watching Aunt Mimi ride a bike. And getting to eat apples on the porch with your best friend. Millie usu...

The Johnson Family: September 2011
http://thejohnsonfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 1, 2011. The weather in North Carolina has been so nice that we have been spending most of our time under this. We love our tree. Especially because it holds our favorite swing. This week we've been doing lots of fun things under this tree:. First, we practiced our maraca shaking. If you know of any bands needing a new maraca player, we have your girl. She is very passionate about keeping the beat and is pretty cute too. It was a huge hit. We have to borrow our mama's glasses.

The Johnson Family: Lake Fun
http://thejohnsonfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2013/01/lake-fun.html
Friday, January 11, 2013. After the Thanksgiving festivities in Birmingham, (yes I know this is VERY late), we headed south to the lake for some fun and relaxation! While we were there, we enjoyed some fun at Catherine's Market! What could be more fun than a carriage ride and a sucker? We got to visit with Santa. We also got to feed some turkeys. Poor turkeys didn't know what hit them when these girls got in their pin. They loved the turkeys and would not stop feeding them! Nice orange crocs Dada.

The Johnson Family: June 2012
http://thejohnsonfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 4, 2012. Since you only turn 2 once in your life, we definitely had to celebrate this milestone with our sweet little Millie! The morning of the big day, (May 3rd- clearly, I'm still running late on these posts) our new 2 year old woke up to her birthday pancakes! The candles were a hit, but tasting her very first powdered donut got a big thumbs up. Dada had to go off to work. But then got to meet up with us for a birthday lunch and a cupcake in the front yard! This face says it all. And if ...

Ryan Leighton. Mae. Maggie. Sunday, March 29, 2015. Red eye and all.). Lots of fun things to remember this month. Ryan calls her bear cub and has since she was born. He says she looks like one. Not sure how to take that. She holds her head up very well and has for a few weeks. Mae was good at this early on too. She loves her sister and loves to be talked to. She carries on conversations in her own language and it's the sweetest. Her smile melts me. We got all of her shots this week, boo! Thank you, Jesus...
