Serving in the Taiwan Taichung Mission. Sister Peng: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Monday, December 15, 2014. 12/15/14 Final Reflection Until Sister Returns Home. 1) Did you get rid of what you can? Don't bring any clothes that are shot or that you don't think that you don't think that you'll be wearing once you return. It will make packing much easier and your luggage lighter. 2) What are your plans for the day? I go there tomorrow at 11. 4) Did the baptism occur? It was so good!

http://www.sisterpeng.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html

Serving in the Taiwan Taichung Mission. Sister Peng: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wednesday, January 29, 2014. Happy Chinese New Year! I Love Tainan and My New Companion! 1) What time do you have church now? 9am, just like it was in Ping Dong. 2) How far are you from church? I live within 5 minutes of walking from the church. Which is funny, because both the church and our apartment are NOT in our area. Haha! 3) Tell me about your apartment. Is it in good condition? I love her because...

Friday, December 5, 2014. 12-1-14 Sister Peng's Brain Is Scattered. 1) What are your plans for the day? Shopping at stationary stores for Christmas presents. Yup. 2) Did you get my card with the pictures? If so, did you like the cards? It surely made me laugh. 3) Did you enjoy a full Thanksgiving meal with the missionary couple? It was hard to tell from the picture. Nope, haven't had a chance. Trying to ...

Hello Mom and the World,. Well today was crazy, fun, sad, happy and full of changes. But due to shortness of time and me being short (well, that really has nothing to do with anything) I will try to explain everything that has happened using the most brevity as I can. So, well. Guess what! But I love it! Second things. Oh!

A Carlsbad Missionary Girl: Am I Going Back On My Mission?

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013/09/am-i-going-back-on-my-mission.html

Thursday, September 26, 2013. Am I Going Back On My Mission? The number one question I get, is "Are you going back on your mission? And as always, my response is "No, my answer is to stay home. That something or someone here needs me. And so here I shall stay.". And yes, it sucks. I want more than anything to go back on my mission. To go to California. To see the friends I made in the MTC. To be a missionary and teach investigators. I'm trying, and that's the best I can do. Thursday, September 26, 2013.

A Carlsbad Missionary Girl: July 2013

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Leaving for the MTC. Kelly left for the Mission Training Center in Salt Lake City this morning. We hugged and said goodbye with tears in our eyes. Her daddy said that was the hardest thing he has ever done. We called the shuttle to see if we could find out if she made it there safe and sound. They said she was. I don't know what day of the week she will be allowed to email us. So we will be checking our email constantly every day. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Things I Wish I Would Have Known Part 2. People have been asking me a bunch of awesome questions, so I thought I would make another post about it. Hope this helps someone out there! What's the shower situation like? What do we do for exercise? What do we wear? How do Fast Sundays work? Can you get your immunizations at the MTC? Can we get bags at the bookstore? What are the classes at west campus like? Where are your classes? What are the apartments like at west campus? There ar...

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013/07/header.html

Monday, July 22, 2013. A few people have been asking who made my header on my blog. (header=really big picture at the top). It was my really good friend Camille. She is a pro at photoshop and I asked really nicely. =D So she did it for me. And I absolutely love it. =). And that is how I got my neat little header for my missionary blog. Monday, July 22, 2013. A Carlsbad Missionary Girl: June 2013

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 18, 2013. After I graduated and went to look into registering for college, I just wasn't feeling it. I was feeling anxious about the whole thing. Then General Conference came. The morning of the age change, I had slept in a little bit by accident. So I didn't get to hear the news. I woke up, checked Facebook and Twitter, and saw everyone going crazy. I legitimately thought people were playing a prank or something. Change the missionary ages? I was like wait. people were serious? I had alway...

Friday, July 5, 2013. So things are getting real now. It's starting to hit more and more every day that this is really happening. I am really going on a mission. I am really going to California. A Carlsbad Missionary Girl: Salt Lake Airport

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013/08/salt-lake-airport.html

Thursday, August 1, 2013. Sister Welker from our stake was on the same Delta flight to Salt Lake City. She sent this photo which ended up in my spam folder. (Good thing I always look through it before sending to trash.) Judging by the look on Kelly's face, she's still not sure about all this. I wish I could hug her. If I know Kelly, she already has many friends there. Mama. Thursday, August 01, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). About Carlsbad Mission Girl. My Favorite Missionary Blogs. All though...

Sunday, August 4, 2013. Mosquito Bites and Blisters. Friday we received a boat-load of email from our little missionary. Most every one of them said "SEND A PLANE TICKET. I WANT TO COME HOME". The poor little girl is having some problems. Happily, since those emails, she is sounding much better. I look forward to hearing from her again. Mama. Sunday, August 04, 2013. A Carlsbad Missionary Girl: Last Friday and Saturday At Home

http://acarlsbadmissionarygirl.blogspot.com/2013/07/last-friday-and-saturday-at-home.html

Friday, July 26, 2013. Last Friday and Saturday At Home. Welp It's my last Friday here at home in Illinois. And I'm at work. So technically, I'm not even at home. I find great irony in that actually. Today is also my last day of work. It is bittersweet. I'm happy to be going on my mission. But I am sad about leaving the kiddos. Best friends baptism: right before the party. My going away party: after we've been crying at a baptism. Friday, July 26, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). On June 7, 2013...

Sister Pearl's World

Hi I'm Marco's sister. Those of you who don't know me can call me Pearl. When I was nineteen, I bit into a pearl in a fried oyster in some linoleum-floored crab shack on Cape Cod. I'm a recovering graduate student, high school Spanish teacher, unrepentant history geek, and budding mystic. I've traveled to four of the seven continents. I always love to discuss politics, religion, history, and philosophy. In my other life, I'm also a wife with really poor housekeeping skills. But I can cook. Page 1 of 285.
