Tuesday, April 19, 2011. The Marathon I DID run. I talked all about the Marathon I didn't run, so I though I should say something about the Marathon I did run. It was the very fist Sand Hollow Marathon. There were about 70 people who ran it. The first 14 miles were amazing. The day was overcast and 50 degrees -my favorite running weather! Marathon Fever: all you can do is think about the next Marathon you are going to run. Very annoying to friends and family that do not particularly care for running.

Tuesday, June 21, 2011. I feel like I am learning so much. Every Marathon I run I learn another important lesson that will help me be a better runner. The scenery on this run was amazing, the race was over before I even realized. I can't wait for next year! She had to wear my medal and bib # so she could be cool like mommy =). Nothing like a creamy after the race! Last but more important. A big thank you to my husband and children for supporting me! This is me stopping for a Sophie kiss about mile 21.

Friday, August 26, 2011. Owls I don't understand why. But they do. Tracy Aviary has a new exhibit called Owl Forest. So I thought we better check it out. Here is Oli-Man pointing at an angry looking owl. I was chosen to help out during the bird show. I got to hold a hawk. She was very pretty! I love birds. Birds have always been my favorite and I have always loved the aviary. So this was a special treat for me! This is Sophie and I being bird food :). I LOVE that photo of you and Sophie being bird food!

Friday, August 26, 2011. Okay so if you haven't been to Red Butte Gardens -GO! I took my kiddos recently. These aren't the best pictures (we were far too busy enjoying the beautiful scenery to take pictures), but I promise you it is amazing. I have never seen so many beautiful flowers in my whole life. There is a coy pond and you get to feed them. My kids thought that was the best! Note- Make sure to bring quarters. The fish food machine only take quarters*. Note- stay on the trails*. I love birds. Thursday, January 27, 2011. St George and the half marathon. We took a mini vacation down to St George so that I could run the half marathon. The weather was beautiful -low 60s and no snow! It was a perfect day for a run. It was only after I ran a half marathon that I realized how hard the marathon was going to be. I need to keep training if I want to make it though 26.2 miles.
