The Forbes: Genetic Counselor

Wednesday, November 21, 2012. Today, Mark and I had an appointment with the genetic counselor at the Munroe-Meyer Clinic in Omaha, NE. The appointment went the way we were hoping it would go. The genetic counselor told us that we have a 1.8% chance of having another child with a chromosome disorder. Everyone has a 1% chance of having a child with a chromosome disorder and the .8% comes from my age. The percentage increases with age and at age 36 it increases quite a bit. Friday, March 2, 2012. Mark and I are happy to announce that we are expecting our second child due on Sept. 18, 2012. We are so very excited and blessed! Here is a picture from our first ultrasound! Friday, March 21, 2014. We decided a trip to Kings Pointe was in order for the boys' spring break. so off we went! We all had a great time swimming! The boys spent most of their time on the water slides with Nick. even Drew! I only got 3 pictures since my phone was put away most of the time - darn it! It was a FUN little get-a-way! Tuesday, May 22, 2012. I'm a lil late in posting this, but wanted everyone to know that our ultrasound revealed to us that we are going to be having a lil GIRL in September.
