Neighborhood Park Improvements
The city of Corpus Christi has many small neighborhood parks located throughout the city. The majority of these parks provide excellent recreational areas, are well matained, and most of them are 100% grass covered. However, they are generally not utilized to the greatest extent. Parking
There will be very limited public parking available in the parking lots directly adjacent to the skate park . There will be public parking on Ocean Drive, but last year this quickly filled up and resulted in long walks to the park event area. It is recommended and if at all possible that you use the parking lots north of the skate park, just beyond the amphitheater. We regret any Inconvenience this may cause. CONTEST RULES
Registration will open approximately one hour prior to each age group's start time, entry fee is payable at this time. Only cash or check are acceptable - no credit cards. Have a parent present at registration. With valid ID, to complete and sign the release form. Entry is based on a first come - first serve basis. There are only 30 to 50 contestants for each age group, this is being done due to time limitations. HELMETS MUST BE WORN BY ALL CONTESTANTS. Pads are strongly recommended.

SK8 del Sol - 2009. SK8 del Sol skateboard contest will be held for the 3rd year at Cole Park on Saturday, October 10, 2009. This event is held to raise money for skate park improvements and to have small "skate slabs" installed in some of the smaller parks throughout the city. The schedule of events has been posted and the skateboard contest is scheduled, but the primary purpose is for everyone HAVE FUN.
