On Saturday 19th March, 34 racers were signed up for the last race of the season, the Cairngorm Mountain Sports Nevis Range. This was to be, sadly, the last race of the season and conditions proved to be slightly more challenging than the previous weekend of racing. Working as an Independent in the Great Outdoors can sometimes seem a lonely affair, so I jumped at the chance to shadow Mike, from the Avalanche Geeks. On a AAA Level 1 course. Absolutely no shortage of the white stuff for once. Must confess to getting slightly distracted by the Reindeer who seemed in their element this afternoon - I really am very shallow.
