What with our impromptu vacation, we didn't really get around to decorating for Halloween so on Sunday, dad sensed we were in need of a project and some festive decor seemed the perfect thing. We spent the morning planning, drawing, cutting, tracing, glueing, and building these fantastic Bats! We always start this process with a couple of blank sheets of paper and some pens to design our pumpkins before cutting. Do we want scary? I am your Father.

Loving life while living it. Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Here was my yummy lunch today. I made a big pot of this for the first time just before having surgery back in early March. It was very good and as it turned out, the perfect "soft food" required for eating just after. I ate so much of it, I dubbed it "surgery soup.". But luckily, I had enough to freeze some ( did I say it was a BIG pot? And got it out again just in time for these past rainy days. 2 stalks celery, chopped. 1 yellow onion, chopped.

Loving life while living it. Monday, October 15, 2012. If you haven't done a straw maze with your kids before, I highly recommend it! Running around this thing at Tricity Nursery. In Kaysville. We went around noon on Saturday and there were only a few other mazerunners so it was the perfect speed. The first time we just ran around exploring. Then we discovered there were hidden clues. Of them. (prizes await! Along with the maze, there were slides. Cart races, a bean pit. Hoppy horses, and a tractor ride!
