Wednesday, September 26, 2012. Serious scramble at Citrus. By the time I arrived in Newtown, I had worked up a nice appetite, so I was set on finding a cafe to sate my hunger. I was pretty specific in what I wanted; scrambled eggs and smoked salmon and was thrilled to find just the thing at Citrus. Dinner, but I'm happy to have such a great selection here. Scrambled eggs, Smoked Samon &. Grilled Tomato on an English Muffin ($12,99). Beers I've tried their 50 Lashes, Four Wives and the Chancer, as well as...

Wednesday, July 25, 2012. All you can eat sushi at Zuri. Of course, no movie is ever complete without snacks, and M and I do like our snacks, so we came armed with some Stilton, sliced apple, veggies and dip, and.a sleeve of chocolate chip cookie dough. Since I consider popcorn a food group, we got some of that as well. The next night, M and I hit up Zuri Bar and Dining. This was a great night out since the company and the wine were fantastic. Since. I generally go for sashimi - which wasn't an option -.

With Bite: May 2012

Thursday, May 24, 2012. Hot and Sour at Hamachi Kita. On a beautiful, sunny afternoon earlier in May, Mitch and I went out for some brunch. We got ready and went out without coming to a consensus as to the resto. He was all for the Pad Thai at Fid and I wanted eggs; specifically a delicious, inventive, spicy egg dish at The Coastal. I won. Pad Thai ($13.99). W/ shrimp, stir-fried rice noodles, egg, bean sprouts. And chili Pad Thai sauce. Green Curry Vegetable Puffs ($7.99). Mushroom, shallot and shrimp.

Monday, December 17, 2012. Urban Bites - a bit underwhelming. A few weeks ago, I went to meet my friend Margaret. For brunch in Newtown. On this particular day, we were meeting for brunch at a cafe called Urban Bites. But M and I agreed that this pathetic-looking pooch pretty much summed up how all of Sydney was feeling that day. I was feeling eggs and smoked salmon of some kind, so I went for the scramble with spinach. It was delicious. I felt like shoving the whole thing between those two slabs...Anywa...

With Bite: August 2012

Friday, August 31, 2012. I mentioned in my post about Golden Century that I've moved into a sharehouse with an avocado tree in the backyard. Well, technically. It's in the neighbour's backyard, but we get to reap the benefits! Needless to say, there have been many late-night, post-drinks snacks of guacamole and many breakfasts consisting of eggs with avocado; a staple on menus in most Aussie restos. Links to this post. Wednesday, August 29, 2012. The Treehouse: Brunch in North Sydney. I was in the mood f...

With Bite: Countless options for bfast at the Clipper Cafe
http://withbite.blogspot.com/2012/12/countless-options-for-bfast-at-clipper.html
Thursday, December 6, 2012. Countless options for bfast at the Clipper Cafe. Last week, I met my friend Margaret for brunch in Glebe. Margaret is a pal that I 'borrowed' from my sister - they met in Manhattan. Actually, Margaret is the wife that my sister 'borrowed' from her boyfriend's best friend. Keep up people! Anyhow, luckily for me, M now lives in Sydney as opposed to Manhattan, so I get to meet her sporadically to catch up; talk about life, food, fun and how much we both miss my sister. I didn't t...
