Especially when you write one after finishing a finely (or should I say finally? Keep it simple. If it falls over a few times, that's okay. They're just blocks. What I find funny (and mildly dismaying) is rereading said first draft. Turns out I only. I was weaving beautiful prose and conveying my character's deep and complex feelings.

It was filled with friends, family, accomplishments, and general happiness. I will be sad to see it go, but there's nothing like a new year to give you that clean slate feeling. What has two thumbs and isn't crazy enough to be out trying to run in this nonsense? So what have I been doing since I signed up? The boy and I did get out yesterday for a little bit and do a few miles of walking on the bike path. Walking by the water on a cold windy day, 2-3 miles was about all I could handle.
