This past Christmas, Michael and I took a trip, just the two of us, to a tiny island in the Philippines called Boracay. And we absolutely loved it! And when we found air fare for $50 a person to go in April we decided to take our first family of four vacation. It was wonderful. The boys loved the beach and the pool! They are ready to go back.and so am I! Relaxing after a fun day of playing.

I was super excited to be on the side of the world where one could view the longest solar eclipse in the 21st century! Sadly, I was on the tail end of a 24 hours stomach virus but I knew I HAD to suck it up to see the eclipse! So that morning the boys and I headed outside to watch a little piece of history transpire. Needless to say it was amazing! And the boys thought it was awesome too!

Thursday, June 19, 2008. For those of you that don't know, my husband loves to install water features. He gets so excited about selling and installing ponds and waterfalls for our customers. A couple of weeks ago he installed a Pond for Kids. He went to a local school and proposed a pond build that would include students helping with the plan and with the installation of their very own pond at school that can be used in so many ways. It was such a success! Here are the before and after pictures.
