We have been remiss in our blog posting. but thought we would make it up to you by sharing our photos from a hike on the Scout Camp Trail which is a three-mile loop into the Deschutes Canyon, dropping about 700 feet from the trailhead. Wychus Creek, which flows from the Three Sisters volcanoes, joins the Deschutes across the river from the trail. This hike was a put on by the Oregon Natural Desert Association ONDA.

Quilts for Scotty and Ryan. Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Daffy has become quite the little adventurer! She walks, hikes, runs and bikes with us. This outing was up Bessie Butte, which we hadn't done before. Daffy was raring to go! Daffy at the TrailHead ready to go! Up up up the butte. Vista from the top, Broken Top and the Three Sisters. Not only are we celebrating our first year in our house (last year on Thanksgiving we were surrounded by moving boxes! But we were invited to our wonderful neighbors home for Thanksgiving dinner. AND we have a special house guest, Scruffy. We are doing some dog-sitting for our other neighbors. Company for the holiday! Jim in now a true Bendite: puffy jacketed dog walker! And we knew it was just a matter of time before there was a cuddle. it happened today! Daffy was in her bed.TSK slowly stepped in, Daffy sat up but didn't get out. Of course, TSK needed to clean Daffy first. Is he done yet? Guess not. I suppose I'll just nap then.'. A little shifting around so everyone is comfy. And there you have it! It was sweet to see.

Quilts for Scotty and Ryan. Sunday, September 7, 2014. We went for a hike on the Crater Ditch Trail with our friend Connie and her friend Wendi, taking Daffy with us. The trail we took takes you to the summit of Broken Top which we can see from our house. Is an extinct, glacially eroded stratovolcano. Part of the extensive Cascade Range. Located southeast of the Three Sisters. Peaks, the volcano, residing within the Three Sisters Wilderness. Is 20 miles (32 km) west of Bend, Oregon. Be careful up there!
