The Coate Closet: Flashback Friday
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2009/08/flashback-friday.html
Friday, August 7, 2009. This past year we were given the gift of friends and the gift of time with family and friends that we normally never have. We were thinking back about all of the things we were blessed with this past year and how great it was to be able to spend so much time with the ones we love. We tried to continue the fun at our house when our favorite season, college football season, came around last Fall. We watched quite a few games together. And we played quite a few games together! Tom an...

The Coate Closet: September 2008
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 27, 2008. Everytime we pack our bags to go somewhere, our dogs get nervous and know we are leaving. This time Rambo decided his best bet was to just sleep in my bag so that I won't forget to take him with me. Dogs are too funny! Wednesday, September 24, 2008. After the tow truck picked me up and took me to the dealership, I needed to get cash to pay the driver. So, he takes me across the street to the ATM. However, the ATM would not give me money! Now is the fun part.deciding what...

The Coate Closet: March 2008
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, March 29, 2008. Our trip back to SoCal. Our trip back to California, which still feels like "Home", was enjoyed by all. The first day Tom and Ethan were in a state of shock, because we didn't have an itinerary for each day planned out. It's vacation! Just being there and enjoying the scenery along with the weather was wonderful enough. We took Ethan on tours of a couple of film schools (his future major) and I think it was an eye opener for us all. Can we say student loans? We are so excited ab...

The Coate Closet: February 2008

Tuesday, February 26, 2008. So I'm Starting A Blog. I'm not so sure I have enough to talk about or share, but we'll see how it goes. We did find out recently that we will be grandparents in September. That was shocking news. I can't say that we were thrilled with the information; but, what can we do once it is done and we are 15 hours away? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. So Im Starting A Blog. The Coate Closet: December 2008
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2008. On the way to the gym this morning, Tom and I were trying to remember all of the good things that happened in 2008 for our family. Since it is sometimes so easy to forget the good things in life, I felt it was important to make a list. Not to mention that I think it is important to make lists for just about everything. Here we go. 1 Amy graduated from high school. 3 Tom was selected and sent to ACSC at Maxwell AFB. 4 Our grandson, Dylan Ethan Beck, was born on September 6th.

The Coate Closet: May 2009

Wednesday, May 27, 2009. Country Music Marathon 2009. Tom and I decided that we were going to run Nashville's Country Music Marathon this year and then we found out that there were quite a few others that were going to be running it as well. So, we joined/formed a running club on base that would meet very early every Saturday to put in many miles and then would reward ourselves with an awesome breakfast afterwards. I know that's what pushed many of us. April 25, 2009, 6AM prior to the race. We had the ti...

The Coate Closet: July 2009
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 12, 2009. Congrats to Tom and our Flight 21 friends! We can't believe a year has come and gone so fast. We will certainly take the good times we had with us when we go. ACSC graduation wasn't like most graduations. They handed out a few awards and had everyone stand at once to announce everyone had graduated. Short and sweet.even though they deserved more, considering all of the hard work they did in 10 months. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. A Group of Stahrs.

The Coate Closet: Off We Go to The University of Alabama
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2009/08/off-we-go-to-university-of-alabama.html
Monday, August 31, 2009. Off We Go to The University of Alabama. The weekend of Ethan moving into the dorms on campus went smoother than we could have ever expected. We drove 12 hours in Ethan's car to UA and arrived on a Thursday afternoon. W moved him in on Friday and flew back home on Saturday. The school had about 800 volunteers that had carts to move your stuff and help you find where you needed to go. They made the experience a fun one. View my complete profile. A Group of Stahrs. The Coate Closet: January 2009
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2009. 1) So, we are definitely moving back to D.C. and I'm addicted to looking for homes everyday. I guess that's why I have my real estate license, although I haven't been able to use it in Alabama and I don't know when I will have enough time to start selling again. But anyway! I'm flying out on March 8 -13 to hopefully secure a place for us. Tom doesn't get enough time off while he is in school, so I get to go and stay with my good friend Elizabeth and find our next place. 5)Amy ...

The Coate Closet: August 2008
http://4californiadreamin.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 31, 2008. We Have Moved Again! Well, the Air Force decided that they wanted Tom to attend Air Command and Staff College at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL for 10 months. Since neither of us are fond of Montgomery, we decided to rent in Prattville. It has been wonderful so far! This is our year to throttle back, so to speak, even though Tom will be working a lot on school stuff. We are looking forward to a lot of family and friend time and of course SEC football!
