http://jetsettera.blogspot.com/2011/07/outlet-malls-and-bird-shit.html
Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Outlet Malls and Bird Shit. Isn't there some kind of saying? Sometimes you're the bird. sometimes you're the American girl eating gazpacho in the shade at an outdoor cafe.". Centro comercial = shopping mall. My Friday had. well. let's just say ups and downs. But what my afternoon lacked in an absence of bird shit on my shoulder and arm (sigh. yes, twice. Well I mean. it does. But that's just the way the expat cookie crumbles. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Jetsettera: August 2010
http://jetsettera.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 12, 2010. There's this scene in my very favorite movie,. Some Like It Hot. And WHERE did you get that accent? Nobody talks like that! I feel that this is an ominous start to the day. Optimists might say that there's nowhere else for this day to go but up, but find me a woman who's still an optimist after spending nine hours in an over-air-conditioned cubicle with soaking wet pants that obviously won't dry because. She's still in them*. And I'll show you a filthy, filthy liar. Well, truth...

http://leffovers.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Monday, September 6, 2010. Fresh pesto sauce AND peach shortbread. I also wanted to make something yummy with the peaches we bought and found a great recipe from the blog Smitten Kitchen that Lydia had directed me to. Yum and yum! I even served the food to a friend and she deemed it a success. Let's see how long it takes me to cook again. Fresh pesto sauce AND peach shortbread. 169; 2009 Molly's Leffovers.

Molly's Leffovers: Rice Krispie Treats
http://leffovers.blogspot.com/2009/11/rice-krispie-treats.html
Wednesday, November 11, 2009. I found yet another awesome recipe on the Smitten Kitchen blog for some rice krispie treats that were made with brown butter and sea salt. I am so fortunate to have such an awesome helper in the kitchen and these turned out really yummy! They were also super easy to make and not very messy either! Skopje, Macedonia | Adventures in Serendipity

Travels Around the World. September 9, 2012 by Katy @ Adventures in Serendipity. Only about six months late. Skopje is a quick drive from Pristina. It took us about an hour and a half, maybe? And that includes walking through passport control and taking a taxi from the Kosovo/Macedonia border to Skopje. I love all the day trips you’re so easily able to take in Europe. The light was amazing during our Skopje afternoon/evening so some shots turned out rather well. Alexander the Great at Macedonia Square.

Travels Around the World. Laquo; Out and About in Colombo: Slave Island II. July 6, 2012 by Katy @ Adventures in Serendipity. That title sounds so dramatic. Of course I’ll be back in Sri Lanka! I’m just not sure when. And I guess this was possibly the last Colombo sunset while living there, which makes me sad and teary. But I have such beautiful memories of my time in Sri Lanka. And the thought of those makes me happy. On July 6, 2012 at 2:37 PM. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here.

Gračanica and Novo Brdo, Kosovo | Adventures in Serendipity

Travels Around the World. Laquo; Pristina, Kosovo. Gračanica and Novo Brdo, Kosovo. July 21, 2012 by Katy @ Adventures in Serendipity. The great thing about Kosovo is the myriad of day trips you’re able to take because its such a tiny country. During my short visit, we took a day trip every day, which was fun. The village of Gračanica is a Serb enclave just outside Pristina where you can find the Serbian Orthodox Gračanica Monastery. Beautiful Wooden Doors to Gračanica Monastery. Enter your comment here.

Jetsettera: February 2010
http://jetsettera.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. I put on my borrowed embassy abaya over my jeans and and tank, and fastened my headscarf under my chin and around my hair. Adam and I left his house and got into a motorpool car. The car whisked us out of the diplomatic quarter and onto a highway. We sped past juice bars, fast food restaurants with funny logos (a hamburger with legs, mid-run! A government building shaped like a spaceship, and a giant store selling nothing but chandeliers. Jetsettera: January 2010
http://jetsettera.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, January 30, 2010. It's snowing sideways in DC right now. It's absolutely beautiful. Or rather, at "feels like" 5°F with windchill, it's beautiful to watch while indoors. Probably should have taken these inside before. Winter hit and they turned into snowcones. Recipe for that and for mulled wine to come in the next few days.). So for you east coasters, I hope you're toasty-warm and cuddled up on your couches with your sweeties (or your roommates. and some mulled wine). Happy Snow Day, lovelies!
