Stephan's Sonex #1627 Builder's Log. The UL Power UL260i appears to be a solid engine. It is a purpose-built full FADEC engine developed in Belgium and capable of developing approx. 97 HP at 3300 RPM and 8:1 standard compression. The UL260is develops 107HP at 3300RPM, but runs at 9:1 compression. Typical long term engine reliability is proportional to the compression ratio, where higher compression ratio decreases the MTBF. Sunday, November 13, 2011. I have started on the first car for Ruth's train. It is a little ore hopper. The cars had to be cute for her. Friday, October 21, 2011. I am really happy with how my new car turned out. It is a 1.6" scale 48' well car for double stacks. Saturday, October 15, 2011. Ballast track at the park. I spent the day ballasting track with my new ballast hopper. It worked well. We carried about 20 loads with it and ballasted about 400 feet of track. Friday, December 24, 2010.
