How I do it. Station (ISS) / Shuttle. UK TV Ad Music. About Matt's Astronomy Site. Welcome to Matt's Astronomy Website. My name is Matthew Cook, I live in Somerset UK. I have had an interest in the stars since an early age but have never 'taken the plunge' and got myself a telescope. That all changed in June of 2005 when I got an Evostar 120/1000 refractor. What a sight. Seeing the immense craters and also strange flat surfaces on the moon at such magnification was fantastic.

How I do it. Station (ISS) / Shuttle. UK TV Ad Music. Courtesy U.S.N.O. How I image Deep Sky Objects. I use software on the laptop called ImagesPlus which lets me choose my exposure lengths, camera settings and choose how many images to take. It will allow me to choose unlimited exposure lengths over 30 seconds. This is great as it allows me to take for example 30 exposures at 60 seconds each and I wont need to press a single button to take them all. Is it worth the effort?
