Thursday, February 14, 2013. Enough about me, onto Tate and his amazing Pirate Birthday! Tate had his first birthday party with friends this year and it was quite a party. He chose a pirate theme (with a little prompting from me- there are pirate party supplies everywhere! He invited over his friends from preschool and a couple others from the neighborhood. When the crew arrived, they had different tasks to complete to earn their pirate gear and become real pirates. After playing hard, it was time for a ...

Sunday, May 12, 2013. On our second day in Seattle we went to the Pacific Science Center. I had previously volunteered at Grant's school for an assembly organized by the science center and so they gave us some free passes. It definitely doesn't compare with COSI in Columbus, but it was fun and you can't beat free passes! My little scientist was pretty good at using the butterfly guide to name the ones he saw. The kid does enjoy learning and on certain subjects he knows more random facts than I do. Exciti...

Sunday, January 20, 2013. When we got back home, the kids got cozy in their new Christmas PJ's and we enjoyed some hot cocoa before sending the little ones off to bed. Poor Luke had been sick and had quite a sore bum Christmas morning. He took about 20 minutes until he had calmed down and was ready to enjoy the presents. He must have filled his diaper early in the morning and then gone back to sleep, because his little bum was quite raw! Possibly the juiciest turkey we have ever had! It has been the best...

Sunday, January 12, 2014. I am so late and behind in all my posts that I have been forgetting about important events! Like the important event of Ryan and I enjoying a completely kid-free weekend in San Diego this past October. Ryan had an ortho conference to attend and I decided to join him for some fun in the sun. My kind sister watched the kids for us (again! We owe her big time! We spent some time trying to find some of the best places to eat while we were there. One night we got some cake to go ...

Sunday, July 21, 2013. We were pretty far from the falls right here, but really it was much, much bigger. I loved all the vines on the trees. After being in Yakima for so long I felt like we were in the jungle. Too bad it rains too much on this side of the mountain. Summer Fun Photo Shoot. Tate was trying to go somewhere, fast. Later that day they snuggled up on the couch to watch a little movie. Such sweet boys! Super Heroes Never Give Up. Here he is after receiving the wrist band from his teammate who ...

Monday, April 28, 2014. Winter snow and Tate's 5th Birthday! After months of cold winter without any snow, it finally snowed so much at once that they had to cancel church one Sunday! So Ryan took the boys around the neighborhood to help our neighbors shovel their driveways clean. The Duke even got in on the action with the shovel Tate got for Christmas. Here's Tate in the snowbank next to our driveway after helping shovel it clean. Tate's big present was a Razor scooter! 65279;HAPPY 5th BIRTHDAY, TATE!

Sunday, June 9, 2013. Grant became even more of a big boy by turning 6 in May. We had his party at a fun place here in town called Kid's Castle. He had about 10 of his best buds come to his party and letting them run around and play at Kid's Castle, as opposed to our house, was one of the best birthday party decisions we have ever made. The kids ran hard, played hard and had a great birthday time. Ryan and I got him a fancy new bike and he has been zooming around the neighborhood since. Grant is a bit of...

Friday, February 28, 2014. Unplanned, we still fulfilled the serious and goofy shoot of the boys. The boys were able to open their Christmas Eve present that night. Thanks to Munga and Papa for the new PJ's and books! They were very excited! Here are the boys in their new jammies and enjoying a Christmas Eve bedtime book. Of the fan blades. This ensured that the reindeer always flew straight ahead and never turned or twisted during flight. The fan was on its lowest setting and it never got old! Luke was ...

A little of this, a little of that. Thursday, May 6, 2010. My friend just told me about the song called "Just Breathe" by Ryan Star. When I looked it up on YouTube, this video was the first hit. And because I love "Bones" so much, I just had to post it. When I informed him that I was indeed a single lady, he replied with, "Aiya, just put a ring on it! I will have to get right on that, thanks Tyler! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). I found him at Disneyworld. Enchanted Serenity of Period Films.
