Over the last few days we have been discussing our ideas, at the moment we have a Jekyll and Hyde character interacting with a steam powered victorian-esque environment. This organic chemical kinda of 'drink a potion and your cured' could be replaced by something more mechanical. Instead of a monster we could have someone in a steam powered suit. Been Messin round with Dynamics. like gravity etc. In the story board we were talking about smashing glasses etc. This was done using gravity and simulation, but speaking to Jared, he said it would be good to use for keyframe references, delete the gravuty and then animate it using normal keyframes. This has started out alright, but needs to be perfect as at the moment its a main point in the story (when the guy knocks over a broom and it lands on the piano key to make an unwanted noise.). Joshua Collinson - CVA 201. I've learnt a lot this project, and feel i have to remind myself in future projects to:. Get your plans sorted before you do anything else. Dont take too much time. Decide on one idea and stick to it completely. Make sure everyone knows whats going on and what they have to do. I know this isnt good and I am quite dissapointed, but ultimatly its my fault. They have done numerous of special effects like for James Bond, lost in Space, Starship. MTV to name a few. Animation boasts a highly effective render farm, comprised of over 60 computers. when deadlines are tight this system can be relied on to produce frame quick and accurately. Monday, 12 November 2007. Vu6 Render Of City. Here we Imported the models from Maya and added some textures to the buildings. And lit the scene as well. The result of the final output is really nice and works well. This was all well, but we are now trying to get a character. Animation to work within the scene, but we need a plug-in to make this work and we are having difficultly. In finding it. : ( So we might be using Maya in the long run, but we haven't. Lost out on changing programmes,.
