ericandles: Pentathlon 2015
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2015/07/pentathlon-2015.html
Sunday, July 12, 2015. After a bunch of hard work and training, Finny's 2015 track season wrapped up with the Pentathlon in Chilliwack. We decided to make a family day of it. We all trooped out to the 'Wack to support our girl. She had a fantastic showing and nabbed 7th place in a very, very competitive field of 24. Here's some action shots of high jump:. On our way home, we stopped in at Castle Fun Park in Abbotsford for a quick round of mini-golf. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Opening the gift De...

ericandles: Kingston to Seattle
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2015/07/kingston-to-seattle.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Our sweet Lukey loves being on the boat. He doesn't love being on a moving boat quite as much. He's such a great little trooper. Never, ever complaining, when we are underway, he usually sleeps. The majority of the time. Here's Lukey on a moving boat:. Good thing being in port is so much fun that it makes up for it! We met and re-met some Albin owners and enjoyed some great food (a ciopinno chock full of seafood on the first night and a full pig roast on the second night). We had...

ericandles: March 2015
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 22, 2015. Thailand 2015 Day 3 and 4! We woke up to a smoke filled sky in Chiang Mai. It was still super, super hot. We planned to head into the city and walk around. But first a bit of breakfast. The breakfast area was open air and overlooking the beautiful pool area of the hotel. The spread was gigantic and delicious. Does it get any better looking than that? A quick swim and game of safety ball (basketball using lifesaving rings as hoops) before heading out. And teak. It was gorgeous.

ericandles: Our Graduate
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2015/07/our-graduate.html
Saturday, July 25, 2015. Alright, I hate this picture of me, but don't Molly and Eric look adorable? Molly graduated from Grade 7 in June. It's a big step in our family, seeing our oldest bird fly out of the elementary school nest. She's enjoyed some tremendous growth over the course of this academic year. That's due in large part to this guy:. Here's Molly's graduation class:. Their brilliant grad poster:. A lovely shot of Moll:. Molly's was just perfect. I was so very proud seeing her there. ericandles: Everything's Ship Shape
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2015/07/everythings-ship-shape.html
Friday, July 17, 2015. Good problems to have, but we always struggle to balance our time in the summer between all the things we want to do: time at the cabin on the Point, time in town, time on the boat, plus all the other little things that come up on the calendar. Phew All sorted. So we set out. But then we didn't. Our plan was an early start on Thursday morning. Our plan did not include the 30 knot winds that kicked up overnight. Argh No sooner do we come up with a (complex) plan.it's foiled. And we ...

Monday, October 27, 2014. Maple Ridge Pumpkins (because doesn't everyone drive 60 km for pumpkins? With a rare free weekend afternoon (and with our farm-phobic family member at work), the kids and I headed to Maple Ridge for pumpkins. It was a dull, grey day.but Laity farm was lovely, even in the rain (photo intensive post to follow.you've been warned). The grounds of the farm were really beautiful. There were little details all over. We really enjoyed exploring. Molly shows off her wooden cow. I found F...

ericandles: December 2014
http://ericandles.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Bid Adieu to 2014. It was a great year. Really great. At the end of the year, I sort of imagine a scale. I have been so very lucky in my life. The balance has always rested on the side of good. Or better. This last year was no different. Health, happiness, growth and much love. What more can one ask for? Maybe that made me appreciate what we had a little more. The beanbag chair crew. 2014 Year End Quiz. Name three Taylor Swift songs. Bonus points of being specific. What Rave...

Wednesday, July 8, 2015. It's weird for me to leave Vancouver for a vacation and have the weather be significantly wetter and worse, but that's how this year's World Police and Fire games started out for me. It was also weird to get text messages that made my phone alarm with "Warning, flash flood. Be careful to avoid flooding areas! I was at the supreme court the day after the historic ruling that deemed any laws that prohibit gay marriage as unconstituitional. The news is full of discussions about ...
