I took care of last-minute packing and had a chance to catch up with many friends the next day, and I flew out on the 4th. The trip itself was largely uneventful but I felt a bit nostalgic flying through Minneapolis, and wished I could have taken time to see so many family members but I wasn’t able to make it work cost-effectively. Saturday, January 26, 2013. I spent a really fun week in Chicago, soaking in all the sights in between conference sessions for The Special Event. My hotel was right in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, and the warmer than normal weather made it easy to walk to all the great museums, restaurants and parks right in the city. Monday, April 30, 2012. Camp Bachelorette-Amanda's Getting Married! We celebrated Amanda's last days as a single lady in Girdwood at Camp Bachelorette. Campers relaxed in a sprawling condo for the weekend complete with hot tub, dance parties and lots of yummy camp food. The official bachelorette festivities took place on Saturday as we hit up the town in our camp shirts to complete scavenger hunt tasks:) I am so thrilled for Amanda and was happy to be a part of her celebration. The beautiful bride to be!

Monday, March 26, 2012. North to Curry: Ski Train 2012! I spent a sunny Saturday on the ski train, an epic adventure that happens only once a year! Beginning early in the morning, the train travels to Curry an old ski town about fours hours north of Anchorage for cross-country skiing, sledding and tons o fun! The travel time is just as fun as skiing with yummy food, drinks and a polka band for entertainment. Our early morning departure. Manda and a panda bear :). Clear view of the mountain!

Sunday, November 20, 2011. Kim's 30th Birthday- Roaring 20's Murder Mystery. 30th birthday in fabulous roaring twenties style! Kim threw me a wonderful surprise 30th party a couple years ago and I was so happy to return the favor for her big 3-0! Our mystery murder characters played their parts well as we enjoyed a photo booth with props(thanks Crystal! Yummy appetizers and our themed sidecar drinks!
